This is an absolute gem of puzzle a game!

Albeit a short one but still its wonderful and you just have to come and get a taste of the world set out here for yourself.
its a nice step back to be in a peaceful and relaxing world for once.

The art style, the characters, the setting it's all just perfectly matched and suited to the game play.
Not overly challenging but enough to make you think.

This just goes to show what can be achieved with a lot motivation, passion and dedication by one person and his dream.

Honestly you have created a masterpiece in my opinion and knowing what goes into making this type of game makes it all the more enjoyable to play!

Thank you sir!

First negative review here.

I feel a game of this hype and stature should work at least reasonably well out of the box.
I mean that's not a lot to ask is it? Especially from a AAA title.

Xbox controller doesn't register,
Go into menus to sort,
Keyboard inputs freeze at menu screens,
Have to kill program in task manager to exit as a result.

Super difficult game so far even the menu screen has me beat!

WAIT FOR PATCHES IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!!

Early Access Review
Every now and again, there are these little hidden gem games which catch you off guard.
Valheim is one such game.
I'l be honest and say I'd never even heard of it until recently, and its now hands down, my new favourite game!!

Let me start by saying this early access game already has better game play mechanics in place, than some AAA titles out there.
It has a weather system, death, multiple different biomes, death, destruction, building, death, crafting, hunting, fishing, mining, death, death, and some more death, to name a few.

One thing this game does not do however, is hold your hand for long.
It encourages you to play, figure things out, experiment and venture forth and explore!
And then it smacks you right in the face for doing just that!

Near everything is out to end your life and it is brutal in that sense, especially at first. But stick with it and once you overcome that first hurdle of being able to survive a little more, you begin to learn your enemies weaknesses, you build your arsenal and then you begin to venture! And this is when this game really opens up into something beautiful!
The World is vast with hordes of enemies and lots of mystical hidden places to venture into and explore!
Lots of hidden treasures and loot. All the while its all to make progress towards taking down Norse mythical legend bosses!

Its got great lore, a great setting, cool graphical style and its polished to near perfection already. Its runs buttery smooth and its got so much potential to become a huge game.
To be perfectly honest it could be released as it is right now and still be worth double the amount they are asking.
This game is definitely worth supporting and playing if your even remotely into survival games.
Hats of to the Devs on this one because it really is a sublime game to play even in early access!
Other Devs take note, this is how game development should be done!

Its a great solo game it's even better with friends.
Don't think about it,
Read the reviews,
Buy it,
Play it,
Enjoy it,
You wont be disappointed!

So i gambled on buying this game even after reading all these negative reviews about performance issues.
I'm glad to say it was a good gamble because man this game is beautiful and other than a few minor frame stutters (and i mean minor) I've had zero issues with this game.
I will state for the record I'm running this with an I5 7600k overclocked and a GTX 1070, and all settings are on high. So by no means a top tier set up.

Lots of love has gone into every item on this game, sure its a typical open world RPG with hints of boring side quests which most all RPG's have. But the setting, the lore, the art style and the way the weapons/ environment just work as they are intended is just brilliant.
The lead character and her story are believable and engaging. I am only 10hrs into this so far and I'm excited to see where this story goes, little snippets and hints of bigger things to come as you explore and progress are given to you, and given the setting of the game I'm sure it will be a great ending.

Its been a while since my breath got taken away with a beautiful game but this did just that. If you can get past the kind of boring usual RPG elements which near ALL games of this type come with and look at this game for what it has to offer, you wont be disappointed.
Definitely going down as one the best RPG games I've played to date.
