I am annoyed at how much I like this game

Definitely regret buying this one and am not sure why the general census on this is positive.

Weak level design and boring guard this or that objectives, uninspired weapons, parry and roll mechanics that don't work half the time, always getting shot at from something to the point I get hit through walls, very forgettable boss battles, feel very weak despite being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ space marine, extreme lack of variety in executions as well as enemy types...

The whole experience has left me quite underwhelmed and seems to be a whole lot of copium from the diehards.

I get the nostalgia for games from this period but there is 0 reason to have all these dip to black cutscenes that break up the gameplay in any modern singleplayer experience. Not to mention how the sound effects feel busted in every cutscene with hits missing or lacking layers of detail.

The only time I had fun is with the Jet pack and you barely get to use it throughout the course of the campaign for seemingly no reason if not to keep me playing for the next time I might have some fun again.

Either wait for a DEEP sale or understand the game isn't getting any deeper past 2 hours of playtime for the refund.

Goodbye Gundam

Felt clunky at first but once you start getting a feel for the controls it is a thing of beauty.

Waited years for this and it delivered. It is more Cuphead, just buy it.
Had a blast getting that 100% back and experiencing more of this masterpiece!

It is barely a game

This game has improved on all aspects of the first game and has taken in a lot of successful features that other rouge-likes have introduced to the genre over the years.

The movement is amazing! I did not expect to be playing this game for 50+ hours and will continue to play for some time to come.

That is also my gripe with the game. This is a very grindy set up for a rouge-like in order to complete the game which I don't appreciate. I am much more in line with being given the Prime version of every boss after completing the game one time through instead of beating the game 8 times only for every run to unlock ONE new prime boss.

You get fast at blasting through every NG+ but it is a lame model that will end up being the reason I don't complete the game despite loving the gameplay.

I still love it and keep playing it.

Anything I end up racking in this amount of hours with will likely be something I recommend but only to fans of the genre or first game.

Amazing port of an amazing game.
