Great game and concept, well executed. Fixed a lot of imbalances with guns as well. However, more needs to be addressed.
1. Shock fields should allow teleport backs. Having 2 makes your ship impenetrable due to death timers (or put global cd when one is used).
2. Winning via Artifact -> Wildgate needs to have some sort of safety condition, ie. the arti ship needs to channel, or not be in close range to other ships. Too many games won by ships just running away or in circles around the gate.
3. Evolution of matchmaking as in players closer to your playtime/skill level (i understand game is still new and this isnt really feasible yet, but hoping for it in the future)

Visually, games looks great. The sniping gameplay and calculations are honestly fun. Bullet time is also quite satisfying.

However game is RIDDLED with immersion breaking bugs, random invisible walls when you shoot, enemies have UAV when you shoot from completely concealed locations, some encounters have triggers when enemies killed to automatically spot you, and terrible quality of life issues. The attention to enemy AI elements is severely lacking. Enemy communication is at times instantaneous leaving no room for quick 1 2 pops. Incredibly infuriating details that ruin the gameplay.

MGS5 did tactical espionage gameplay way better, and the game is a decade old. Play that instead.

It's in pre-release but it feels like the game has regressed from TF1. They actually removed some of the mechanics from TF1 when making this game. Game feels extremely clunky, has horrendous performance issues, balancing problems, and 0 explanation of how anything 'new' works.

Cons:
- Log Cart has been removed (why???)
- Rain catcher has been removed (again, why?)
- Building reworked for the worse, less flexible, less free build attachments, somehow even more buggy
- Enemies climb/phase through things youve built in trees
- Somehow the story feels even weaker
- Melee weapons (on hard) are awful and borderline unplayable
- Small foods (blueberries, oysters, blackberries, etc.) recover <5% thirst/hunger, even eating whole inventories worth
- Winter season blocks items you'd normally get off the ground
- Kelvin useless in fights, can't enter caves
- Kelvin can and will break the tree project you're working on if you ask him to bring you logs
- Kelvin has pathing issues
- The only reason to use Kelvin is to get logs, if you're working on a ground project
- No water building/boats
- Spear throw aiming reticle is off by about a foot and a half
- Projectile animations are nearly impossible to see in flight
- Map is 2-3 times larger, number of POI's the same
- So. Much. Running.
- No faster mode of transportation.
- Hit detection issue
- Not sleeping doesn't seem to do anything.
- Death loops. When you die you respawn at a FULL cannibal camp. Attempting to grab your bag usually gets you kill. You respawn at the SAME CAMP again. Repeat.
- Combat is not rewarding. Flesh bags aren't significant enough loot.
- Bone armor is more expensive.
- Dieing can be used as a form of transportation
- Dieing has no real negative consequences other than the death loop
- Dieing while on a rope has you travel to the top of the rope, then die
- Can be immediately knocked down after being revived with no chance of counter play
- Lighter is now electric and puts off an annoying weaker purple color. ( I wouldnt mind this except \/ )
- Torch light is still borderline useless. Decreases your vision almost.
- Things 'lit' on fire don't project light, just the fire itself. Still.
- Crafting animations are cool, but tedious and take a lot of time
- Scrolling through the inventory is cool, but tedious and takes a lot of time
- Rotten meat can just be cooked into cooked meat again.
- THEY REMOVED ITEM HOTKEYS LOL
- New item switching mechanics is archaic, clunky, and unusable in a fight (makes you stop moving for 3s+)
- Bow has an annoying and consistent bug that causes you to waste arrows rapidly
- Building animations are cool, but are tedious and take a lot of time.
- Instead of a map, you have a GPS. Ironically, the map was better, showed more details and the entire island. GPS shows a small portion of it.
- Item management in your hands is clunky, not consistent
- Closing menus is different per menu, and none of them close with ESC, instead opens the game menu

Pros:
- It's pretty.
- Seasonal changes are cool, winter brings snow, tracks in the snow, frozen lacks, etc.
- New monsters look cool
- Pretty much anything cosmetic, has been improved

Again this is in pre-release, but it feels like they shouldn't have even released it in this state. It somehow has even less content, functionality, and playability than the first game.

Don't buy this until more patches or full release. Its a skeleton of a game right now.
