Crab Champions is one of those games for Roguelike enjoyers where it rarely gets stale, it's always got a fun switch up and it's still being worked on and having content added to it, worth every penny.

(I feel like this needs to be prefaced that the game is currently in beta so it's not finished with everything but as far as the beta goes most of it is already ready to go and get constant post beta updates going)

Now that that's out of the way let's get on with this, This game is worth every minute of time you put into it, I've been a long time player of all of AE's games and I can confess that I may be wearing rose tented glasses for their games trying to look back, but in reality, their games have never changed, they're still pumping out great updates every week like they always have and I never want that to stop for them.

I will say this isn't for everyone, Adventure Quest has always had a unique way of doing things compared to other MMOs, such as swappable classes and for AQW what used to be the Enchants on any weapon to fit a specific set of classes, this game instead offers traditional loot weapons and stats on those weapons, and instead of having to worry about a weapon you like having better stats, you can apply a cosmetic over your current weapon, doesn't matter whether it's a full cosmetic or a weapon you just looted of some giant skeleton you fought, same thing goes for every other wearable.

the major downsides for this game is that your progress in the game kinda lacks substance, you have nice quests like ashfall and darkovia which are going to be nostalgia inducing for me later down the line, but there's no proper jump to these areas, technically you should progress through greenguard to doomwood to ashfall, but I never finished doomwood myself and it also recently got a revamp, so it's definitely confusing, on top of that only one skill is swappable, I think the game would be more unique if you could swap every skill, have a custom class that you could bind any skill set you want to, but currently there's just one skill you can swap and you have to complete a class to get a skill for swapping.

The textures could do with some minor spiffing up, I love the cartoony aspect AQ has always had but it needs to be ressed up a bit because the textures are blurry.

other than that, this game provides tons of fun, if you're on the road and need a quick break you can play it from your phone, or when you're at home and need something to blow time on you can grind up for some of dages new stuff that came out today, either way, there's going to be something for everyone.

thanks for making this game AE, I'll always be a fan.

This game is really good, but the controls could be better, and it's still got quite a lot of broken areas, monsters getting stuck in walls, etc.

HOWEVER, Aside from all the cons, this game is still very playable and probably a lot better than it started out, I know a lot of people were dissapointed in this game before but I think it's pretty great myself and is sweet for a couch game.

8.5/10 in my book, could use some fixes though.

Mabinogi and how I feel about it
After Spending around 900 hours in this game, I do believe it's time I make a review for Mabinogi.

In short, mabinogi is a Open World, Fantasy Life MMO, You're free to do literally anything you want too, you can run around and explore dungeons or you can take up smithing and make weaponry, or you could take up tailoring or carpentry instead, you can even play music to help buff your team mates in what they're doing.

Honestly, I've put a lot of time into Mabinogi because I fell in love with it's charm and how it plays, it's not super fancy, it doesn't have the top notch graphics that most MMOs have nowadays but it has so much more to offer outside of it's looks that it just blows other MMOs out of the water.

With that said, there are quite a few Cons for Mabinogi too, forinstance the lack of support for people who are on newer system and the extreme amount of stuff to wrap your head around, it's very overwhelming, it's not really as popular as a lot of other MMOs either, which to me is honestly a good thing because that means most people on there are just as deticated on there as you and are usually willing to help a friend out, it's also just not built as well as most other games either.

But overall, I'd recomend this game to anyone who is looking for a fun time in a vast open world~
and if you need someone to help you out, gimme a call :P
