Buggy.
Many times easy quests paying 1-10k are harder than quests paying 500-1000k.
Main quest is bugged for me, couldn't advance and didn't find info on it either - infiltration question when going back to the base and just have to dock, nothing happens.
Controls are still weird, I played with X:BF first that was way worse, but in this one you can get used to it at least. Or maybe I got used to it more up to this point. Idk, doesn't matter, it's weird.
Some ships are painfully slow even with SETA. I've got all these hours, I could make around 10m, but still couldn't find the decent ships I was looking for (Springblossom or Spitfyre). It was said that it's in a hidden system that you would find if you follow the main quest, but it was bugged for me.

UI is too small - maybe due to the 2k resolution that it doesn't scale up with it - not a huge problem, but noticable, because every menu point is so small.

Some other bugs:
- when asking for permission to land on the station, while the automatic response message is playing, you can't control your ship. Need to headshoot the very tiny X to close the message, to regain the control.
- You can command other ships you own, sometimes when you tell them to follow you, they will fly around 4km from you. Sometimes when you order them to land on a base they fly around the base 4km from there - most places were ok, but I had this issue with a main quest, and it was quite annoying.
- when a main quest message is playing you either skip it or you can't control your ship again - let's say you are closing in to a station then suddenly the programmed character starts talking, but u need to slow down, then you have to skip it and you can't check anywhere what was he saying.

It's not a bad game actually, more like natural to me, but I can get more fun out of many other games, so I just can't really recommend it.

it might be good if you played this game eons ago, but today it's very hard to figure out all that crap. Like how do u even dock or land on a station, you're just basically ignored by anything and the hotkey to hail(C) doesn't do much.
The controls are weird, but can get used to(to some degree).
The game talks about some different type of stations and there are different icons on the radar as well, but there is no chance that you will ever figure out what the hell is what.
There is a manual and a walkthough file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X Beyond the Frontier
And you can watch a video to figure all this crap out, but too much work for so little fun. Can't really recommend it.

graveyard keeper: "I would like to say some words... Our church is great"
ppls in the church: "Meh"

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. U can manage a graveyard, and producing everything witch is required for that - after developing the technologies. After a long day u can go to the traven, u can sell some meat to the host, exchange for some beer. Where is the meat from? Lets say you found it somewhere...

I got this game on the free give away. Take like 2 hours to download it and when I tried to play it started the Uplay. Now the Uplay is asking for the CD key. Usually you are get this from by clicking right on the game and "View the CD key" or something. But it's nowhere. It's possible that it's a steam bug, but my first question is; why I have to install a framework which can run games inside of an another framework just to play with a game? Second question; why I have to find out what should be the bug to solve this? I'm working all day long as a programmer and at the end of the day I dont wanna see more bugs or trying to find out how to solve an another bug, I'm just using this client to play, if I wanna see bugs then I go to work. Thank you for the pain.

This game is about a special agent, who drops a whole box of antidote into the fire after he becomes infected by a zombie virus. Then he is crying a river about not having any of it and making promises to everyone about finding some for them and himself somewhere else, which he can't ever fulfill. Thanks to him a lot of ppl and all of his friends die, but he still try to sell himself like the good guy, who wasn't the one in the first place who burned all of the antidote. In the end he gets tired of this ♥♥♥♥ and blows the ♥♥♥♥ up with the whole country.

Well I had a P1 PC with 200mHz processor, 64mb ram, and 1 GB HDD when I'm played on my Win98 with the original game first time, and this was my favorite game. Now after something like 17 years later, I'm really happy that it's doesnt hurts my eyes when I'm playing with it on these HD screens, and I still love this game.

Seriously.. the cracked version of this game was far more usable, then the Steam version. I can't even use the mouse, because of some kind of bug.

Anyway, the game is awesome, because it have a great story line and an amazing skill system.
