I mean there are a number of folks out there saying that there isn't much aim or direction in this game... and that even if there was it would take a long time to get there.

For me personally it's not really a game with any definitive goal. You have the option to design and expand your little town at your own pace, try and keep your little villagers warm and fed in the winter... Sure, maybe you don't get to do any of the resource gathering yourself but so what? This isn't that kind of game. It's strategic micro, labour and material management. You don't play it for fast-paced action packed thrill. You play it for a relaxing experience where you get to explore your imagination with the... granted.. *limited* aesthetic options... but that's what the Workshop is for and honestly it shines for games like this!

I would definitely recommend if you enjoy being in charge of your own little town.

I would definitely *not* recommend if you need a guideline for everything, want fast paced action or to blow up everything you see Micheal Bay style.

Played this for years!! Nostalgia inducing. Little monotonous here and there but feels satisfying when you eventually complete it.
