It's just boring and nonsensical. I got it via Humble Bundle or I would have refunded it.
The combat is extremely simplistic. The dodge mechanic is hold left or right, with no timing, to dodge anything. The only time I took hits was surprise attacks from thing's I'd never seen, or literally impossible to dodge, like opening a door and being hit from a mob on the other side while still finishing the animation.

The story is no better. You're the captain of a freighter, you get boarded by terrorists and crash land near a prison. You are immediately processed into the prison which makes you pass out. When you awake your head is shaved, you are in a prison jumpsuit, and a science experiment has gone horribly wrong. Then you just go from one bland encounter to the next while you get a bog standard story of corporate experiment gone wrong, everybody dying.

I love the Dead Space games. This is pretty similar, but with everything interesting pulled out and crapped on.

It's a game I spent many soul sucking hours in. I plan to spend many many more.
