Early Access Review
Please, we need checkpoints. Dying and starting over was actually heartbreaking.

Calling a single-player game pay-to-win is braindead insane
With nearly 6 hours in and 0 micro-transactions, in fact all the items can be obtained by playing the game. Feels more like its a pay if you're a lazy piece of ♥♥♥♥ micro-transaction.

The capital does drop your FPS to around 40 - 60 fps tho but that's probably because you can enter basically every single person's home for God knows what reason there's nothing to do in any of them for more than half the time.

As a Gundam fan this game is amazing. You'd hear people call it Gundam Overwatch but each mobile suit's kits cater to different gameplay and there's quite a variety of suits to choose from.

However! Do note that it's impossible to own every Gundam you want. Completing the season pass only allows you to obtain a single new mobile suit and this doesn't change in season 2. Thus, I can't recommend this game to anyone.

TLDR:
Gameplay is unique and refreshing.
You can't own every mobile suit without spending money.

I don't understand the hype for this game. Definitely don't get this if you don't have anyone to play it with.
Ignoring all the bugs and graphical issues that's probably just gonna be fixed within a week or 2, the game is just bad at its core. 3/10. It could get better in the future though.

Voice acting doesn't gel well with the dialogue, It actually feels cringe at some parts. Character development is inconsistent. Game starts you off as a typical confused individual trying to get his bearings but suddenly you become some cocky douche bag in the first side-quest? Dialogue options are just... well, lets just say its does not have any role-playing value.

Gameplay is like some clunky version of Gears of War and Division. It honestly just feels like a bad version of the two games. Both guns and abilities don't provide you with any of the 'oompf' factor and just feel lackluster, almost as though you're practicing on target dummies. Have you guys heard of Hellgate: London? That's what this game feels like.

Overall, this game just feels like it doesn't have an identity, its mixing elements from other popular games in its own genre without knowing how to make it into its own thing.

Also who thought it was a good idea to have cutscenes when you open doors? What is this, Resident Evil?

Okay, sure. There are bugs but lets ignore those for a second and think if this is still a good game.

Short answer, no its mediocre at best but should you play it? definitely.
4/10

Okay, so this game has been in development for 7 years since announcement so its probably been in development for more than 7 years, However, the very basics of RPG elements are non-existent in this game. Character creation itself is very limited to it's presets. There are no sliders to provide you the freedom of giving yourself a gigantic forehead nor, a chiseled jawline. Which means, there goes your dreams of beating down your enemies while looking like Henry Cavil.

So after you're done with character creation, you venture out into the world of Cyberpunk. You'll be so busy admiring the amount of detail put into Nightcity that you'll be distracted from the fact of how little customization opportunities you have. Think about it for a second, you can own a myriad of cars but none of them can be customized. This goes the same for weapon and your character. Once you've created your character, there's no going back. You can't change tattoos, can't change your makeup, you can't even change your hairstyle. Hell don't even get me started on your clothes. The penalty you have to pay to make V dress and look the way you like is staggeringly painful due to each clothing having its own stats. I've got to stroll the night of Nightcity with a bra-top just so I don't get one shot by any ganger.

For those who think maybe customization isn't an issue. Sure that might be true but here's a very major problem for me personally and I think, for many others. The LACK of weapons alone is just so jarringly evident in this world. I've spent 30 over hours and have found only 3 variants of assault rifles, one isn't even automatic. This applies to every other gun from pistols to sniper rifles.

However, credit where credit is due, the world that CDPROJEKT RED has created is amazingly well done. From fashion, to religious beliefs and realistic mental health problems. I literally just sat in the elevator watching two video game characters debating their beliefs from start to end. So even with the lack of all these basic RPG elements Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely still worth buying.
