I wanted to write this review after I've finished my first playthrough, but I don't even feel like I have to wait anymore. I've experienced enough to know that this will be THE game for me for a very very long time, if not for all of time. Before I write anything else, I want to state that being a massive dnd nerd is probably key to why I love this game so much, but I do not think you have to be one to love this game as much as i do.

As a guy pushing 30 years old, I've thought for 8+ years that gaming had peaked for me. Next to nothing was interesting anymore, playing games by myself was never fun and for the longest time its just felt like I've played games to pass time. Baldur's gate 3 changed that. For the first time since high school I've been able to sit down and thoroughly enjoy playing a video game all by myself. I never thought I'd experience something like this ever again, and I've never been more happy to be so wrong.
Just getting immersed in the story, lost in the world and enthralled by all the characters. Not a day has passed without me either thinking of this game or sitting down to play. I can't recommend this game enough, and especially to any of you that have any sort of connection to dnd. This game is truly something special
