Expedition 33 is a rare RPG where there are not shortcomings, I have no gripes with this game nothing that holds me back from giving it a 10. The story is in-depth, each character is given time to flesh out their story so you actually become connected with the main characters. They all have their individual personalities which isn't overshadowed by a "main" character. They argue, make mistakes and say stuff in the heat of the moment and then immediately retract on it.

The combat is good but not standout, It does what it has to and no more or less. It's just a tool in telling the story. Yes there is some annoying timings with some mobs with parry/dodge but after awhile you learn the patterns and you get used to it.

I can capture an animal, give him a machine gun and he'll protect me.
