The last Dragon Ball Z video game I remember really enjoying was Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 for the PlayStation 2, which came out in North America little over ten years ago. There have been many Dragon Ball games since then, but few have even come close to meeting the high standard set by the Budokai game series.

What exactly is Dragon Ball Z XenoVerse, then?

With a tiny hub world where you may interact with well-known DBZ characters like Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, and other fan favourites, it combines fighter and RPG features. You may complete optional and major plot objectives, gain cash, buy things, unlock character outfits and unique powers like Goku's trademark Kamehameha, and unlock currency.

One of the nicest things about XenoVerse is how customizable it is; you can design and define a character that is rather distinctive. You can choose to engage in combat with AI or other player-controlled characters when playing both online and offline. You may choose an AI-controlled partner from among the previously unlocked characters when completing tasks offline, joining combat with favourites like Kid Gohan. The A.I. is capable enough to gradually reduce an opponent's health, but not strong enough to win a battle for you.

In general, I believe Dragon Ball XenoVerse is an improvement over the poor Dragon Ball video games from the previous ten years. The optional co-op and against modes in XenoVerse are the cherry on top of a game that already has a tonne of substance in its single player mode. At this time, a Dragon Ball game should have a sizable character roster available to you, along with a good number of user-created character customization possibilities. I was pleasantly pleased by how much I liked XenoVerse as a modest anime fan, and I anticipate that you will be too, if you have any interest in the original material.
