The absolute best way to lose hundreds of hours by staring at a map while it changes colors.

We all know X-COM is mostly known for silly RNG and point blank missed shots, but if you look past those minor inconveniences then you're met with extremely satisfying, tactical gameplay.
Now go, Commander, show these aliens who's boss

If you're too young to be raised with classic platformers or never got the chance to get into them, all you need to do is play this game and you're all caught up. A beautiful combination of genre's classic and new mechanics, with extremely good controls and amazing soundtrack. Truly a masterpiece

It makes you feel like it's your actual job
It makes you care like it's your actual job, sometimes even more
It's just as time consuming as a job
It actually makes you feel fulfilled, unlike your job
The only issue is that it doesn't pay at all, unlike your job. At least in real money

10/10 would quit my job to do this if not for the last point

How to properly enjoy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim :

Step 1: Buy or recieve the game.
Step 2: Install Skyrim.
Step 3: Run the game.
Step 4: Have fun for about 20 h.
Step 5: Finish creating your character
Step 6: Explore. Do quest. Join sides. Enjoy the game in general
Step 7: Eventually get bored of the game.
Step 8: Install some mods(Can also be applied before step 3).
Step 9: Continue to have fun with your newly installed mods.
Step 10: Eventually get bored again.
Step 11: Repeat steps 8 to 10 until there are no more interesting mods for you or your game/computer crashes from the excess of mods.
Step 12: After about 300 hours of gameplay, loose interest in the game and deinstall it with all of the mods. Free up to 100GB of space on your hard drive thanks to that.
Step 13: Continue your life for a couple of months, remind yourself what it feels like to have one.
Step 14: Eventually, remind yourself how much fun you had last time you played Skyrim.
Step 15: Go back to step 2 and continue from there for endless fun.
Step 16: ???????
Step 17: Profit.

Warning!: Gameplay experience might vary depending on playing individual, thus given numbers are only approximated and may not represent the actual values you got in a specific step.
Warning!: Mods are highly addictive! Once a player starts to mod, it's extremely easy for him/her to continue to do so until gaming station will not be able to read them because of the lack of resources. Know your limits with modding! Save your computer some stress!(Also the game itself might get quite unstable so seriously, watch out while modding)

Actual review:
Great game. 10/10 will definitely return to it in a while.

I've heard a lot of good things about this game since the release so I decided to finally buy this when it went on sale. The game turned out to be even better than I thought. The plot twists, the humor, the depth of story, the emotional rollercoaster. This game touched me like no game had ever touched before. I'd like to share my experience with you.
There might be some potential, light, spoilers i guess:

At my first playthrough I decided that I'm going to be "the good guy", as I usually do in games. I've heard some things about this game but I didn't know the basic mechanics or story, so more or less I was clueless as to what should I expect. I've tried my best to not kill anyone to get the good ending. Unfortunately, I was not able to figure out how to spare some of the creatures/bosses. I wondered how this will all end and kinda expected "meh" result. I was so sucked up in the game I finished it in one go. After defeating the king I've met my best buddy from the beginning of the game. First time my game "crashed" I was like '-what? I was just about to finish the game, come on !'. Then I launched the game again and I was like 'Oh ok. Nice one'. After finishing the game he tells me that if I want to see the real good ending I have to kill no one.

Ok, I can do that.

I was filled with determination

Next run, I can do this, I can spare everyone. After a little consulting with uncle google I know how to spare all the bosses(I'm horrible, I know).
And I did it. I was so thrilled that I'll see the good ending. I get to the king, defeat him and...
This guy again. Motherf...
Turns out not only I have to spare everyone, I have to be friends with all of them. What?

I was filled with frustration

I was mad at this game. I decided to kill everyone this time. I knew there was a different ending if you do that.
So I killed everyone I've encountered. Usually I wouldn't care either way since it's quite common to do so in most of the games but here... it was somehow hard. And those dialogs... I felt like the scum of the Earth with every kill. I was sad when I was about to finish the game. And after defeating the king once again...
He shows up and the game ends with a neutral ending again. Turns out I didn't kill enough.
I didn't think I'll have it in me to try again and kill more after crying like 5 times during this run. But I really wanted to see other endings, so I decided to try doing the Pacifist route again.

I was filled with determination

This time I had it. I knew what I needed to do to get the right ending. I wanted to rush through the game since I saw everything 3 times already. Or so I thought. This path shows you a little more about the lore. And with every second it was getting darker. I was spooked a little at first but I continued. The I was spooked a little more but I was still going forward. The fact that I was playing at night wasn't helping. Finally I've reached the final boss and after defeating him I was satisfied. I've finally reached the good ending!
But I couldn't help but wonder: what does the evil ending look like?(and I wanted to battle Sans which you can do only on the genocide route)
Even though I didn't want to, I had to make the hard decision and once again started the game.

I was filled with determination

I've never felt so bad while playing the game or in my entire life. First the spooky music, then the dialogs left me heartbroken. Suffice to say I almost dehydrated through my eyes.
But I did it. I wanted to kill myself but I did it. And the ending was also interesting, beside being creepy af.
And after seeing all endings, I could finally rest as I no longer felt the need to see more since I've seen it all already

I was filled with satisfaction

Or have I?...

Overall, this game is amazingly well designed. I had a lot of fun while playing it. A perfect example that you don't need good graphics to make a great game. Also, don't play it at night or if you are emotionally sensitive

Bonus: After finishing the game with all endings I decided to go to the wiki page to find out more about a certain Character. While there I found some things I didn't recognize and checked them out.
What the hell.
Just how deep and complex is this game?
