Love it or hate it, For Honor is a game I return to time and time again. I just can't put it down, as there's nothing like it. I complain about it a lot, but it's mostly just out of what the game COULD be. There is so much potential if this game became mainstream, and yet I fear what might become of it if it DOES become mainstream. I don't want this game to become a massive pay to win experience, or everything to be overly grindy, or even have forced microtransactions. But this game is definitely in need of some PR and advertising. The game, in my opinion, is in the best state it's ever been. Sure, it could always be better, but it's infinitely better than what we had back in 2017 on release. Heroes constantly get balance changes every season and mid season patches, we get new heroes every other season which introduce new mechanics and fun ways to play, and as per usual the art and music teams knock everything out of the park. We have things like Crossplay, better stam pools, base game heroes are now viable, new executions that come out every month or so.

The only gripe I have is that I wish we could get brand new armors instead of variations, or said armor variations were actually based on community feedback instead of theme. I would love for vikings to get full chainmail/lamellar protection, for the samurai to have lacquered steel armor, or silk coverings like with the Chimera armors. I would love for the Knights to be clad in fully protective chainmail on the sleeves, or at least some colorable gambeson with beautifully polished armor.

New maps would be lovely as well, maps based on new characters we've gotten. Pirate getting a chinese ship map where you fight on a massive ship, or with Medjay we can travel to Egypt and fight around some pyramids. With Afeera's release we could travel to the Library of Arabia and see the chaos that Ravier has caused due to her attacks, etc.

Overall I do adore this game and I will keep paying it, and keep giving the Montreal team my money, as they well deserve it with all the passion they have for this game, still continuously delivering us content despite their budget, and the higher ups at Ubi causing drama.
