One of my favourite games of all time. You will have a hard time finding a game with a nicer community. The co-op feels fantastic, every class has it's use and the synergy is beautiful to experience. And the devs are all around amazing. Long live S.M.O.L. meteor

Rock and Stone lads!

To start this review off, I Really Really love playing counterstrike. But i can not recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it. This is for a few reasons.

First of all the game is extremely beginner unfriendly. There is a tutorial in place, and you can practice against bots, but this will only teach you the controls and not the mindset needed for the game. For that, you'll have to go play online. Which would not be an issue, if it weren't for the other issues that i find with this game.

One of those issues is the infestation of hackers and/or smurfs. Especially in the lower ranks, where new players will most likely start, there (still) is a huge amount of people who 'smurf' (playing on a lower rank than they are supposed to in order to dominate or otherwise easily win the game) and cheat (using outside programs to gain an advantage). This makes the ultimate learning environment, a random competitive 5v5 match, extremely difficult to play. And if you don't get this issue, there is still the next issue...

The community! The CS GO community is one of the most hostile, toxic environments i could ever imagine. Most people you randomly meet will yell at you for being worse at the game, and if you don't play how they want you to play you are in trouble too. I've once had a fight with a teammate because I could not run through molotovs in order to save his life after a risky push, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Such a toxic environment is not a nice place to be in Or to learn a game in if you are new.

For the rest I LOVE the teamplay aspect and the general gameplay. The guns feel good and you can actually master them with enough practice. You can master the game even more by learning how to use your grenades. I just think in the current state of the community and the game, I cannot recommend this game to anyone that has not played it yet.

This is a typical case of don't judge a game by it's graphics. The graphics may be mediocre but the gameplay made it totally worth the price. If you are looking for a game to spend tons of hours in this is for you
