The stages of HOI4 addiction:
1: Play the game nonstop for a month, everything is HOI4, completely ruin your YouTube reccomended
2: Play it a bit less, it gets "boring"...
3: Discover mods, play nonstop for another month
4: Play it a bit less, it gets "boring"...
5: Discover DLC, play nonstop for another month
6: Forget about it for a bit
7: Rediscover it, repeat stage 1

Might be the greatest sequel in history. SO many more levels, SO many more characters, SO much more backstory, and it even has co-op! Normally sequels just build off of the first game (I don't deny that this does too) but this doesn't build. It completely overshadows it. The first game was a pure classic, but this takes Portal into the modern era. The graphics are impeccable, showing you the full capabilities that Valve brings to the table. There are so many more voice actors, fully immersing you in a way that Portal never could. And the twist. Ah, the twist. To quote Jack Black, "A good story has a beginning. A middle. And the Twist." I never saw it coming. There is also so much more raw, delicious plot! An unlikely partnership, a painful backstab, and again, a beautifully-written song at the end. I recommend that all players of Portal and Half-Life should IMMEDIATELY get this game and play RIGHT NOW! But not just for Portal and Half-Life players. ALL gamers should put this on their wishlist, if they haven't already.

Portal is the perfect game for fans of Half-Life, or really for any gamer out there. Portal really is the best game I have played in a long time. Starting out in a testing scenario, the strange computer voice never says what happens at the end. Instead of a normal "Play it. Beat it." game, it twists around, making it into a sort of escape room. I would recommend this to any gamer I meet.
