Very much still in the style of Zero and 1 for Yakuza. Some reason the style and what they do still doesn't bore me. This time out I spent more time doing side missions and enjoyed the heck out of it.

If you enjoyed Zero or Kiwami 1 you should enjoy this.

Was okay for the first couple of hours but then the AI ruins it and disappearing materials (like trees that we've chopped) continues to ruin the fun. Wouldn't go as far as a buggy mess but there is real bugs still in this.

A solid shooter with bit problems with navigation, the U-boat is real crap to navigate and there was many missions where I wasn't clear on where I was meant to go. Then there's the feedback for where I am getting shot from and the shooting feels somewhat flat.

Don't get me wrong it's a neat game if you don't hit some of these issues I did but for the full price I feel like it isn't worth it and was thankful I got it on winter sale.

As someone who cautiously waited to see how XCOM 2 was then forgot about it, seeing this pop up made me pick it up as I was interested in the world and the slight shake up with having the stealth mechanics.

Now the stealth mechanics aren't anything game changing, but they do allow you if you are having a hard time with a group of enemies pick them off. I did this through my playthrough as to me it was puzzle of what I could or couldn't get away with.
The world being post apocalyptic may make some of you roll your eyes and think "another game with this type of setting" but I do find the Mutant character you have in your group are pretty neat and the voice acting seems fine, nothing life changing but good.

Performance, it ran absolutely fine with no hiccups but please bear in mind I have a "higher end" setup. But it seemed to have run effortlessly even when I forgot other stuff was running in the background.

I will say that it did feel like it ended fairly quickly (20 hour playthrough), but for the price of £25 I really can't complain as it held my attention for all of it. I do hope they add more content as I feel at the ground level of mechanics they have done fine, maybe a NG+?

Ubisoft Montreal have managed to create a FPS that I can suck at and still enjoy and then get shot in the face again next round and still be okay about it.

All things aside, one FPS that you and your friends can pick up and have an okay/enjoyable time of it and also have moments where you feel like a boss. (even though you really aren't).

Supports 21:9 ++
Runs relatively well +
Servers fairly reliable (some matchmaking issues everynow and again) -
Lose an evening playing -
See K/D and cry --

So I've got to about my 5th hour with this game and there's still plenty to do and learn. It starts running you through the basics on what you need to do to run a efficient hospital while reminds patients not to die in corridors, corridor urination won't be tolerated and other lines like this.

The humour is cheeky and the names for people are also, but alas how does it play?
Pretty good, simple easy controls and heck the 5 hours have gone by pretty quick. A game you could put a podcast on and play or even have a video going along side if you so wish.

Some questionable slow down in spots which I'm unsure about, I believe this is only at the time of autosaves but nothing that has bothered me as the game otherwise runs great (which you'd hope for). I believe the price to be fair for what it offers. I'm unsure how much more there is but I believe there should be about 10 or so areas at least and who knows if they'll expand upon this down the line also.

Gets a thumbs up from me, it's been a long time since I played theme hospital and I'm glad it's back even if it's just a spiritual sucessor, it does it well.

30 hours in - I've noticed that there is some issues with the patient AI in certain places like the fracture ward, where multiple patients will stack up on a machine and then will be stuck until I move the machine etc. I hadn't noticed this for a while and resulted in deaths etc, even after moving the machine it will eventually happen again. There is also other places this can happen to but I mainly noticed it with this one. Also there is certain aspects of making sure there is easy enough routes otherwise your queues get mega long no matter how many GP offices you may have. Trial and error on that one but still frustrating especially when you realise.

This game can be promising but it's missing vital bits that could make it enjoyable.
The game looks pretty no denying that, but my god does it chug for what seems like no reason sometimes and that's on my PC that's got a 1080 and a 5960x, settings don't seem to change that.

It's missing things like atmosphere to me, you're walking along slowly and it's quiet there is no real noises going on or anything to keep you tense when you're about to get pounced on by a whole horde of enemies, when they do show up there's no music that goes with it. So all the game has audiowise is plodding along footsteps, gun fire and when the enemies finally show up.

After about an hour of playing it with a friend we both had enough, nothing felt that challenging and it just seems to be missing stuff that would make it enjoyable. This feels very much like an early access game still that needs some more functions and a final bit of polishing to complete it. Certainly not worth the full price or even the discounted price (£25.49).

First and foremost, I enjoyed this game and played it to completion. But I do have some issues with this game.

The story behind it isn't strong and no means compelling but more than enough for what I think any gamer would like as long as they don't want anything to engrossing. I really like the idea behind Lincoln and they do a really cool one or two hour setup to the actual game as such. It touches on the 1960s in a general way from the racial discrimination, the culture, mobs and lastly the music. My god, the soundtrack they put into this game is something of a delight for me.
The different districts stand out and the people that run the different districts differ somewhat too. If I felt like I could sink more into the game I'd really feel the 1960s vibe to it.

Performance wise, I have to admit I had no major issues but does performed a bit on the poor side.
I've got a Intel 5960x and two GTX 980s but at this time there is no sli support. Which I don't mind, that seems to be the ongoing trend. But to keep it at a stable 60fps wasn't going to happen at 1920x1080 and quite frankly anything under the highest settings looks somewhat garbage compared to what I'm used to. So I believe they do need to do some optimisation. Regarding the graphical settings, at this time there's very little in the way of options and I hope they expand this.
I did however experience the odd crash to desktop with no explanation as to why, never really got any idea as to what caused it either. I also encountered playing over time it would make the PC chug as the FPS seem to decline. They really do need to include a borderless windowed mode, so in general there's a lot of PC options that have been somewhat "standard" and they just seem to be missing.

The grievances I have for the game are the following:
- It's very rinse and repeat. Which for me in this case was fine I enjoyed it, mostly...

- The AI doesn't ever change, it's very much the same. Crouch behind wall or crate brutal kill guys until you get discovered and then start laying into them with bullets. They always seem to have the same pattern of one after another coming through the same door way even though there are different ways to flank me and there was never any reason for me to try a different tactic or experiment with different guns.

- Not much in the way of side missions apart for unfortunately more rinse and repeat, which I did but if you were hoping there was more of a excuse to keep running around New Bordeaux you may be quite disappointed, unless you really like being a completionist and collecting.

- If anyone has got only as far as the prologue bit of the story, I was hoping that the game was going to continue taking some of that direction sort of similar to GTA V with scripted story bits and other missions. I'm afraid to say it doesn't really do that until towards the end where they end up setting up some "explosives" fights and some outlandish fights with your enemies.

- I never felt like Lincoln grew any relationships towards the people he worked with, you always seem to be lone wolfing it a lot. Which is fine, but if "bob" the guy I've met at the start and have been chatting between story stuff suddenly got popped I had no real reason to care. I just felt like I ran some errands for him and "oh well, he's gone now" sort of attitude.

I enjoyed my time with the game, but I'm ashamed to say I got a bit too hyped for this game and was expecting more. But after 30 hours I'm not sure I can continue walking around the beautiful New Bordeaux. Please don't get me wrong, the story has something to it, the characters they have around it are an okay mix. But I feel this falls short on what Mafia II did, which is surprising because I was very mixed on that game when it came out. At least with Mafia II I know of characters that stood out, still even know some of the names from that game and it's been a while since I played it...

Unfortunately, an average game that feels like it needed just a little bit more.

PLAY THIS CO-OP
DROP KICK LOADS OF ZOMBIES INTO FIRES AND SPIKE TRAP THINGS
RE-ENACT SHAUN OF THE DEAD PUB SCENE BUT TRYING TO TAKE DOWN BRUTE TYPE ZOMBIES
THROW STUFF AT ZOMBIES
PARKOUR
POO YOURSELF THE FIRST TIME IT GETS DARK (IT GETS DARK OKAY)
JUMP OFF A BRIDGE WHILE NOT KNOWING IF YOU ARE GOING TO HIT WATER OR GROUND
TALK TO PEOPLE YOU WISH WERE ZOMBIES SO IT COULD MORE JUSTIFY KILLING THEM

But in all seriousness, play this game co-op. Have a laugh, save people, don't save people etc.
Only cons i'll say is that this game is a typical Dead Island when it comes to how it runs on PCs. Some settings don't do a lot FPS wise others do (like the FOV slider which sucks) CA looks terrible, film grain that is forced ingame is terrible to.

For removal of film grain and performance tips etc Neogaf:

Plenty of info there to gauge if this game will run okay or what to expect.

ENJOY
