Wasn't ever a fan of the Souls games before, but gave this a try after watching some twitch streams. After getting my ass kicked, I was able to get a bit of a grasp on the game and now I've spent pretty much all my free time playing it when I can. It is a very deep RPG and the open world exploration is great. Additionally, if you are a completionist, this game is calling for you.
