This game defined my childhood. I cannot tell you the hundreds of hours were on the disc version of this game. The fact that this game STILL has a modding community speaks to the quality of the base game and the incredible potential it has.

I love this game to death. Its exactly what I always want from Doom. Being a badass who kills demons. The developers are great guys and gals who are invested in the game as much as the fans. Buy it.

This game hasn't changed its core problems in 4 years it wont ever. Play better games. Dont settle for this.

Update after 100 additional hours. Uninstalled yet again. The top of the meta still feels very samey.

Update: Tried again. This time blatant hacker in my 2nd game.

This game is a enjoyable experience if you can:
- Spend many hours planning ahead.
- Enjoy fighting in unfair scenarios (especially at the beginning of the game)
- Get a lot the DLC......

Seriously though. Getting a lot of the DLC brings the game from this kind of lightly featured game into the realm of completeness. Get everything on deep sale (75%). There are many resources on the EU4 Reddit that can help you decide what you want to buy.

Even on sale to get this game from a okay game to a great game you need to spend something like 60 dollars, but I personally found it worth it.

Sakura Spirit
A game on fox girls.
Lets start off by saying that this is not a bad game. But certainly not a great one.

The story revolves around you, the protagonist, who goes off to pray at a shrine for a tournament and then for some unknown reason are picked by the shrine (not the spirit, yeah the shrine. I know right?) to solve the problems of this alternate dimension/ period of time where there is tension between the fox girls and the humans.
Now that you know what this game is about. Lets get into it!

Pros
- TONS of fanservice ( I am shameless don't judge me.)
- Likeable characters
- Monster Girls, dear god I love Monster Girls
- A straight forward story ( easy to understand )

Cons
- A straight forward story ( No deep thinking sadly )
- WAAAAY to short. I finished in about an hour. If you do not know that is beyond short by visual novel standards.
- Lack of decisions. Although some people are in it for the story. Even I like to be bothered with some kind of decision every once in a while.
- Story is lacking. Remember the little paragraph at the top explaining the story? If I went any farther into it I would expose plot points -_-
- Sequel baiting. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game... They had the nerve to call this story a prequel of what is to come after you finish. Ya know? At the end credits. Sonny. This is an hour long. Before you call this a sequel this should be called a demo ( OOOOOOOOH! Shots fired mofo )

Final Verdict
This game is nice. I wanted a nice little visual novel to satisfy me for a cheap price. Thats what I got. However this is satisfaction with a feeling of longing. Like something was taken out of this game. I am happy with my purchase but only because I copped it on sale.
Don't get this game full price. Instead wait till a 50% or higher Steam Sale.
I don't give digit scores. So the final decision is up to you. Do you still want this game? Are you willing to spend your hard earned money on it? All this and more will be answered by your Steam wallet. Happy buying

P.S. These people are for sure going to make a sequel as confirmed by the credits. If you get this game watch out for it.

Great game, and well worth it's asking price. The Calm & the Storm is somewhat of a mix between total war and risk. Of course there are no real time battles to speak of but that does make the game more calculating in the fact that you don't really control the outcomes of battles.

Positives:

Many times you will fight your own world war II fighting for power and struggling for dominance! The A.I. is great with unrelenting force they will plow through an opening in your defenses and quickly consolodate their forces if you attak.
On a player VS COMP map you will quickly realize how aggresive the A.I is. You can no longer declare war on all the weaker nations and exspect the world powers to not respond. You then will have to face down pretty much anyone who is not allied with you for the desperate resource grabbing to keep your war machine up.
In this way the game makes it's greatest sucess at a slower paced game with a good amount of tension.

Negatives: There is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lot of them

The game of course has it's flaws and should not be overlooked. Me being the man I am could not handle mainstreaming WWII as germany or the U.S. so I liked to play as smaller nations who can barely hold their own. All to quickly you will realize this is impossible as the major players like Germany and the U.S. have WAY too much under their belt from the get go and will trample you if you dare attack anyone they like.
The game also gets repetitive. Fast. If you like WWII games than you will find this game able to last you a long time but that does not change the fact that A.I. have limitations and will work together to fight the player being as superior as you are rather than the German Facists who are right at their doorstep.

The diplomacy as with pretty much any stratagy game is underdeveloped and lacks any real options.
The trade seems unfair, almost designed so you have to give up on something to get anything (which is realistic, but does not help the gameplay) you almost can never have enough goods or especially arms to get you anywhere. AND GOD FORBID you have a large army and try to produce arms for it. Your resources (most notably your oil) will go down so damn fast that you can't hold it up for more that 10 turns.

Games are over relatively quickly in this game(we are talking 2-3 hours max) and don't even have a "turn limit off" or a "Conquest" game mode. Though the game does help itself by allowing you to keep playing indefinately even after the game has ended. So a "kinda" conquest mode

You are gonna wan't to play with other players. Preferably people you know so you can set up rules and have an actually fun time. (randoms don't bring the thrill of fighting your friends.)

Also while you do struggle sometimes. Once you get a hold of this game it can be pretty easy to play so I would recommend turning that default difficulty up a notch.

Final Verdict:

This game is worth buying for five dollars but no more. I would actually recommend you buy one of the newer Making Historys as I have heard/read that they have adressed many of these issues.
Still when I picked up this game it was less than a dollar. (like 78 cents) and that was a steal for this game so if you a money grubber like me. Wait for the sale to happen again or just pay the damn five dollars I mean I payed over 9 dollars in copies for my friends to play with me because they are struggling hard right now.

But I repeat For FIVE DOLLARS this game is well worth it. So pick it up now and relive WWII while you still got the motivation in you.
OFF TO THE BATTLEFIELD!!!
