Early Access Review
Cute and lovely little game, currently only in version 0.3.0, so quite early in the development, so some features like drones are missing from the prequel. It's updated about once a month (next updates are rumored to bring back the quantum, mosaic & radiation slimes ).

The weather system and bioms are an interesting new concept, slimes are very cute and well designed, resource system is less micromanagement and more exploring.

I would wish to have more useable space for farm and a big storage.

Positives:
+ core gameplay
+ new stealth mechanics
+ mods making the game into a blast
+ cute little easter eggs

Negatives:
- Progression by completing challenges (lvl 117 myself)
- Challenges should not be "complete X heist" 150 times in loud & stealth
- No option to search for specific challenges (thanks to pd3.gg here btw)
- Second currency (C-Stacks) making money increasingly worthless
- All C-Stacks bought weapons are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
- very generic heists (bank, night club, jewelry store, art heist, ... everything already done in PD2)
- very coop unfriendly start & end lobbies (no chat in start lobby, after a heist lobby is dissolved)
- (almost) no communication from the devs perspective
- ton of bugs & glitches not patched after almost 2 months (Killing Elite Guard with a skill, saving pagers by transitioning guards into a bugged state, bugged money values)
- possiblities to soft lock yourself in specific heists (experienced it about 3-4 times in the 200 hours gameplay so far)
- gray filter when near the map border
- downgrade compared to PD2 skill wise
- always online
- only viable overkill weapon is the sniper (grenade launcher is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)
- colour explosion packs are very anti-solo
- COD ass like UI & menus
- story very incomplete in my opinion
- specific favours not buyable, downgrade in preplanning compared to PD2

I enjoyed playing Ghost Master as a kid and the nostalgia by replaying it hit me straight in the face.

The mechanics and objectives are sometimes a bit tricky, but it is sometimes able to hit them by sheer luck without knowing what to do. The small little levels with specific objectives and nicely designed ghosts and structures are on point in my opinion. Often there is some luck involved in solving those levels, especially everything after chapter 3. You will need to wait sometimes for the NPC to do stuff, with the minor underlying issue of the pathing.

I never had in my at least 100 hours (not counted on steam played this game >10 times in my early years) bugs with the game itself, fairly often were visual bugs.

The community, especially mod community, is very dedicaded. The unusued ghosts are able to be played in game by adding them with a mod. As this is an alone standing titel and there were no further titles intended, the community works on an sequel and has a dedicated discord server.

The game itself is fairly old with a ton of replay potential for reasons of nostalgia. I would love to have a sequel for this masterpiece of a game, althought there is no hope for it.

Firstly, as I started playing this game, I wanted to redeem my money after 2.7 hours.
But as time progressed I began loving this game.
As of now I have accumulated 1000 hours in this masterpiece of PAYDAY 2.
Similiar to tf2 with its spagetti code, this game runs on a race engine and plays like a potato. (I love playing potato games)
I met a ton of friends in this game, still play it regulary with new players and will continue to infamy up until I reach infamy 100 for the last infamy achievement or infamy 420 for the fun of having a funny number.

The ride since 2013 was very bumpy. They removed the case drops, so nowadays everyone gets a drop daily (economy was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by this tho). Although promised not add further DLCs they are still adding new DLCs, like new heists, cosmetics, weapons etc. I have nothing against this because this way they can get the financial support they need for the upcoming PAYDAY 3, after their last game RAID WW2 flopped and they were almost bankrupt.

Contrary to other games you can't finish PAYDAY 2, there are always new ways to play it, be it playing with mods, speedrunning, getting better in (new) heists, leveling infamy (Infamy 500, level 50000 is max.), finding new glitches & bugs you can exploit, learning game mechanics or teaching new players (or even friends who are new to the game). The possibilties are endless.

Of course just like in every other multiplayer game you will encounter cheaters, you can either avoid them by looking and the name before joining a lobby or autokick them / manually ban them if you are the host. In my experience you will encounter cheaters in about every 15-20th lobby you join or about every 30-50 player who joins you. Just like in CSGO you will encounter the sterotypical cheating russian who is infamy 200 and has all achievements done in the same minute.

With time passing you will encounter the playersubtype I would call "special", there are wide variations of this subtype. This could be either a new player with no silencer who does not understand the concept of stealth after restarting the heist 3 times in a row because he keeps rushing everything or someone who has no brain and does not learn from his mistakes and keeps doing the same mistake repeatedly like bumping into guards or going trought lasers. This subtype of players are mostly found in infamy 0-5. My friends and me are calling those kind of players the "classic payday 2 player".
Of course you will find very competent players in this range as well and very special people outside of this range.
A cheated infamy 100 more retarded then a player with brain being infamy 0.

All in all, I would recommend bying a Steam Key for this game outside of Steam, because they removed the Scarface DLC due to licensing issues, which is a great DLC in my opinion.

Castaway Paradise is similar to Animal Crossing. You play on an island and complete different tasks, expand and explore your land, trade different items and level up.

The issue is that this game is an altered mobile version ported onto the pc. You can see this on the "VIP" system in this game or the very grindy manner, that is more frustrating than fun. In order to get all achievements you need to reach level 34, this will require at least about 30 hours of constant grinding, which is an fairly usual tactic of the mobilegame industry ("pay2progress"), on the pc version the paying was removed because you pay for the game itself. Therefor you have to choose either to grind those hours or to temper with the files and give yourself 50 level of xp instantly with one mission.

All achievements are achievable.
I would not recommend this game in order not to feed into this system of porting mildly altered version of mobile ports for profit.

Lovely little game for a day or two. Cute pixelated design, matching relaxing music and multiple atmospheric changes within part of the map. All achievements achievable
