TL:DR
The game is better than PubG and Fortnite.

NLE:WR
RoE is more like PubG than it is like Fortnite, but excels in the gameplay over the previous. Fortnite is unique in its own right since you can build your defences, so I won't dive too much into Fortnite comparisons.

RoE is basically PubG, but a GOOD PubG. The bullets are much easier to predict the flight path for, there's no ear rupturing snaps from gunshots striking near you (Yes I understand PubG is supposed to be realistic, but we don't need permanent ear damage as a result of "realistic GUNSHOTS"), your character doesn't feel sluggish or clunky as if it was pulled straight out of GTAV, the weapons are decently balanced (you're not severely penalized for picking up the 'wrong gun' <edit: excluding the Remington 870>), the unique "class" mode of transportation is fantastic, as you have alternate and stealthy means of traveling aside from just running which is perfect for getting to the zone without having to go through your own existential crisis about whether or not a loud vehicle will get you killed, and the zoning is absolutely fantastic. You're alloted more time to get to the zone, and you get very clear indications that the out-of-bounds zone is about to close off. Another positive is that YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY MONEY FOR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KEYS TO GET COSMETICS. In fact, I've actually looked for a way to give them my money, but all I found was buying the Founders Pack for 3 bucks. I'm curious how they make money to keep the servers up.

[NEGATIVES]
About the only negatives I have are as follow:

1) THEY REMOVED THE BLOUSED PANTS, I LOVED THOSE PANTS, AND THEY REPLACED IT WITH STUPID NINJA PANTS. NINJA PANTS SUCK, KEEP THEM FOR THE MANLY MAN PLAYERS, GIVE ME (FEMALE CHARACTER(S)) BACK MY BLOUSED PANTS, MY SHORTS WITH PANTS UNDERNEATH/TIGHTS/ OR PANTYHOSE, WHATEVER THEY WERE! I refuse to wear clothes in game now because of this.

2) Vector still sucks, even with the extended mag.

3) I mentioned early on that "You're not severely penalized for picking up the wrong gun", but I retract that statement and added an edit. Picking up a Remington 870 Shotgun IS A PENALTY, seriously, you fire 1 shell and proceed to take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ century to pump the next shell. The ♥♥♥♥ is this garbage?

Free to play, lots of content and developers are active with the community. Can become repetative at times, but this is a grinding game.
