The gunplay and 2 body mechanic is actually pretty fun. I really want to like this game. But there are some massive L's that if aren't fixed will ruin the game.

1. The grind to unlock new sponsors (factions) is insane. You need 273,000 exp to unlock a sponsor, and you get 2000 for a lost game. You can get up to 9000 in dailies, and 36000 in weeklies. But one of the dailies is always a massive grind, like "Make 50 weapon purchases" and 2 of the weeklies are in the same boat. If you grind your ass off, every day, for an entire week, and get all dailies and weeklies, you end up with 99,000xp. Sure, I am not factoring in game xp because I'm too lazy to even try. But that is silly.

2. Most of the weapons are not fun to use, and the forced buy system means unless you are buying one of the full buy options you end up with 1 gun that is just bad to use. Why cant we make our own weapon combos, or buy for each spectre individually?

3. Something about the netcode frequently feels like trash. You will have games that you aim at a head, fire first, and insta die only to find out that the game says you hit them 0 times. It's hard to explain well without playing it, but if you are the peeker you have much higher odds of winning the gunfight, peekers advantage in this game is massive.

4. I tend to not buy cosmetics anyway, unless they are sub $5 skins in CS. But the price of cosmetics in this game, even post price drop, are insane. They are trying to sell a $70 "founders pack" cosmetic that doesn't even include any faction unlocks. I think $20 valorant skins are overpriced, but even those come with animations and sound effects, the $20 spectre divide skins look worse than most of the lowest tier valorant skins that you get from their battlepass. Speaking of battlepass, it hasn't dropped yet, but I won't be surprised if it is either full of garbage cosmetics like sprays/calling cards/face tattoos, or is incredibly grindy to finish. And it will likely be both.

TL:DR Besides netcode issues, all of my beef with this game is from developer greed. The sponsor grind is to push you to purchase an unlock for $10 a piece, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cosmetics cost as much as a new AAA video game.

Cheating is rampant, BTB has been broken for weeks, and the desync is worse than it has ever been. And the campaign was very crappy for $60.

This game was great until they made it p2w. Now there are skins that work like CSGO skins in the fact that you open cases to get them using real money, but unlike CSGO the skins give stat boosts and now team stat boost too.
