The game is a little weird as there isn't really much if any player choice that's meaningful.

• You equip and use all gear that drops so there's no meaningful choice about what gear to use
  
• Skill tree is very short and branches have almost no depth to them. it's VERY easy to just get everything, so i needn't think "do i want x? or do i want y?" as i can just get both.
  
• Stat caps being so low takes away the option for more specialised builds. The rate of cost increase to up the stat cap increases so fast as to also hinder specialisation
  
• There's nothing to guide me or give me a goal to work towards other than finish this stage and get to the next. I'd love some kind of long term goal to work towards. At the moment there isn't really anything..

Game does have promise, but as of right now it feels lacking in a lot of key areas. I'll keep playing though since at the time of this review i'm only 9ish hours in and for all i know the game could open up much more later on, if it does i'll adjust this review to match.

tl;dr kind of shallow, has promise, curious to see where it goes.

**Edit** Since my reviews, the dev has added steam cloud support, this is enough for me to change my review from a not recommended to recommended. my other issues with the yellow blocks still stand, however alone they're not enough for me to not recommend this game.

If on steamdeck your demo save won't carry over, lack of steam cloud means you can't play on both pc and steamdeck with the same save file. difficulty seems a little inconsistent. The yellow blocks are more annoying than interesting as you have too much to keep track of looking for rather small gaps in shields while trying to dodge projectiles that are tightly packed. Don't get me wrong, I like that the games hard, but when you're having me keep track of so many different things at once it gets more annoying than fun.

interesting game, very short, balance breaks down in the "lategame" can be 100%'d in 3-4 hours but at £2.50ish is value for money.

I can’t trust this developer anymore given that this game now is abandoned and given it was a full price game I expected more. I’m massively dissatisfied and won’t buy anything from the devs again - so much is left unfinished it just makes me sad. I played clicker heroes 1 and even spent money on it so when this game came out I wanted to support the devs, now they’ve abandoned this game in an unfinished I can’t help but feel betrayed. The last update was in 2021.

seems dead - no update or news from the devs in months.

Game has a strong right hand bias in positioning of blocks so lefties may find the game a tiny bit harder than others and there's not too much music at the moment to choose from but other than that it's a pretty fun game and the right hand bias isn't much of an issue.

Still going to give a posative review as I still found the game more than enjoyable. Would love to see a wider selection of songs / user created songs
