I literally SUCK at this game and it's still enjoyable.
it doesn't get too repetitive even if the gameplay loop is the same, the music never gets boring and fits, the characters are designed with love, care and passion, and I genuinely laughed at a lot of the dialog between Rhem and Luca at the time of writing

and dying
and casting spells that cause me to die
and you know... maybe progress some times

They actually did it. They made the sequel of hollow knight better than hollow knight somehow.
New, but not overwhelming mechanics, familiar, but expanded design choices, and the same fantastic game play loop and design philosophy.
Truly worthy of game of the year

TL;DR: game is fun

so I got this game a while ago, and it's been nothing but a blast. It's got a pretty wide roster of characters which are all unique and add stuff to the game. the challenges are all awesome and really fun to play, and dying doesn't feel like a chore to get back where you are.

the Visuals and audio are absolute alchemy. cinema. oh my, it's so powerful. The art style is so unique, fresh, and striking, making the world look almost painted, and so alive.
the first time i got to the final boss level, I almost cried. The music is so moving, powerful, you can't make it better, it's so perfect.

Get this game, play it with friends, play it alone, it's so good. gameplay loop is simple, the characters are easy to learn, and hard to master, making it a good, long lasting game with TONS of replayability.
