What a pleasant surprise!

Had some unexpected spare time, went online and found that Kerberos had released an early access 3D remake of their roguelike gem 'the pit'. After chatting with the dev and doing one run I can confirm that it shows great promise. As i understand it this version will eventually match the features of the original 'the pit' with the expansions being added afterwards. Expect much improved atmosphere and immersion.

If you played the pit and liked it you will love PoD, if you haven't know that this is a hardcore roguelike with permadeth, lore and recipies being retained between runs, later versions added the possibility of leaving equipment in a stash that could be retrieved by later runs somewhat easing attempts. The last item was badly needed as this game is challenging even on the easy settings!

Great 4 on 4 top down air combat battler with surprising depth.
It takes only minutes to get going the first time and you can hotjoin almost any match, once in the air you will quickly realize that the game is all about skill and teamwork.

I can see myself casually coming back to this game for a long time not only for a very enjoyable dose of 80ies top gun nostalgia but also for a fix of concentration and well executed skill.
