I quite frankly don't get why this game has such positive reviews. I picked it up on the steam summer sale and even at a reduced price it was not worth the purchase. The poorly explained, highly repetative gameplay gets frustrating very quickly. Furthermore, the player gets very little control over some very important mechanics, limiting your strategy and necessitating multiple runs of trial and error.

A really nice roguelite-metroidvania with tight gameplay, a nice aesthetic, and an engaging atmosphere. It rewards good performance, but lets you choose between going slowly while avoiding damage, or reaching the next level quickly. Or both, if you have what it takes.

Overall, it's one of the better games in it's genre, and I highly recommend it.
