Monster Hunter: World is one of my most favorite RPG games that I've ever played. This is my first entrance into the Monster Hunter series and suffice as to say, it delivers on a whole lot. This is by no means a perfect game, in fact there are some glaring flaws in terms of gameplay and control optimization, but once when you settle down and get used to everything, there's fun to be had. There's a ton to learn and even more as the game progresses. I feel like the 60 bucks that I spent on this game was well worth the amount of content that I was given. Not to mention the fact that Capcom keeps adding more monsters and other content into the game for FREE!

There's a lot I want to talk about on every angle of this game on why it's so great that it overwhelms its flaws, however, there's way too much to talk about that when I wrote an original review, I went past the word limit for the review box. I highly recommend this game, however, be warned that this game requires a lot of patience, willingness to learn, and a sound mind. This game isn't easy but it's nowhere near Dark Souls. Speaking of Dark Souls, some Dark Souls players might be familiar with the flow of the combat in this game. The game WILL punish you and will test your mental stability.

As for most games, this game is indeed fun with friends, however, there's issues when it comes to social interaction in the game and I believe it still needs some fixing. When entering an instance, the entire hub area is only instanced for yourself while a small room in that hub area serves as a hub for social interaction which makes no sense in a game that should feel more open and robust with life through friends and other gamers alike. There are guild cards which just tells you stats of other people but doesn’t have anything to do with guilds and there feels like less encouragement to actually interact or socialize to make the game a little livelier. However, it’s fun to play with random people who know what they’re doing sometimes and that’s the general quirk of multiplayer for all games, but this one, it gives a unique experience.

Anyway, this game gave me one of the greatest experiences and there’s a whole lot to do. To this day there hasn’t been any loot box nor intrusive microtransactions in the game. The furthest microtransactions go for the game are just mere store costume cosmetics but that’s pretty much it. The updates filled with large content that are coming to the game is FREE. Again, I personally felt like the $60 I spent on this game was most definitely well spent, and I spent nearly 200 hours on this game, and I feel like I haven’t learned about everything this game has to offer. That said, this game is phenomenal and can't wait to see what Iceborne has to offer.
