Clunky, buggy, probably a game to try again in a year or so.

I changed my mind, despite enjoying the main story there's still early access and alpha/beta games with twice as much content than this game. Don't waste your money, just wait a year until it's £15 then give it a try.

One of the best games on Steam without a doubt, Completely contrasts from most games on the market today, mainly because it was actually made with fun in mind. You can get lost in this game so easily and have a lot of fun alone and even more fun in a group exploring, building and defending your base from cannibal and mutant attacks.
The Forest has a great Sandbox that enables you to play the game so many different ways and try multiple alternatives to almost anything you decide to do, the story takes a tertiary role because the main attraction of this game is the freedom and ability to do whatever you want in whatever way you desire. In my opinion the best survival game on the market.

Really fun game to play casually, community is nowhere near as toxic as most multiplayer games these days and it's always easy to find a game.
