If you plan to play this as a singleplayer sandbox thingy, forget it. The bots are way too braindead and accurate to even be an enjoyable experience (BF2 Project Reality at least has serviceable player vs bots gameplay).
If you plan to play with other players, it's hit or miss (more misses), sometimes the game feels good, but most of the time the combat just feels very janky (ex. sounds feel too flat and same-y)

Truly one of the combat master ever

Follows through quite well with State of Decay 1's gameplay loop. Less Jank, More Fun.
I have only 2 negatives.
- The looping missions and gameplay (it IS fun but when playing for a while, it DOES get tedious)
- It loses some of the radio options available in the first game like calling for survivors to gather resources and such.

Still an 8.5/10 for me.

While I do miss the mechanics and features of Far Cry 2 and 3
(weapon durability, bullet penetration, environmental damage, fire physics, AI, and probably more),
it still is a fun game to play.
Though I must admit, being unable to shoot at an enemy through a 1 cm aluminum/wooden fence simply for not using armor piercing bullets (even if your firearm and normal ammunition should be capable of doing so) is massive bull.

You can design your own tanks. Need I say more?
(the dev is also really active in the development of the game. Very cool, and very based)

You get to play as a sleeper agent and kill thousands of folks desperately surviving. Very cool and very based

You're better off emulating the games (where you can do the exact same things like speed up, pause, save data, etc).
This is basically a glorified steam game page turned into an "arcade stadium" game.
Truly one of the games ever made
