I have 66 hours in this game and I am already actively researching which DLC I should grab first for my next run. I don't think I'll start getting bored of this in less than 500 hours.

I have a sharpshooter and her name is Pearl. She has a cool sniper rifle. Sometimes raiders attack my colony and I send her out while they're still gathering so I can thin them out. She shot someone and obliterated his entire liver and killed him instantly. Someone went to check on him and Pearl shot his head off. Two more came and she exploded someone's spine and they "crumpled into unconsciousness" and the last guy immediately ran away and was never seen again. I then gave her a cool archotech eye so she would snipe even better. She's got something like 80% hit chance at any range now, I love her. One time she was sniping some fools and an ibex ram got the manhunter virus and attacked her from behind and broke all her bones. Lawman stepped out and shot the ram dead with his LMG and carried her to safety. Pearl also got asthma very early on but one time a raider survived so I stole his lungs and gave them to her. She's been breathing a lot better since then.

I also have Gacó, my melee specialist and treechopper, but he perished defending his home from a horde of angry manhunter foxes. No less than 18 separate claw wounds, 8 to his torso, which killed him on the spot. Pearl and the LMG gang were out hunting some tribals so I didn't have a lot of defenses. I put him in my fridge for now, hopefully I'll find some robo alive juice to revive him.

Weasel is dead too and in the same fridge, but her husband already remarried, so maybe it would be awkward to bring her back. Still debating on that. But Gacó is awesome and I am definitely bringing him back as soon as possible.

You'll want a controller for this one. Most of the gameplay is flying a cute little spaceship, which is best done with a controller.

As for the rest? Well, you'll have to figure that out yourself.

Not a huge amount of stuff to do yet, but they seem to be working on that. Underlying system seems very solid once you understand it all.

Every time I build the ultimate ship to crush all ships, I encounter an enemy I hadn't considered and only barely defeat it, and have to repair my hunk of junk. Good times.

Bad things happen in this game! It's fascinating!

Played this a while ago and it was alright. Saw the big update and gave it another shot, it's way better now! Diggy diggy diggy :)

I kinda wish there was more of it, but what was there was pretty neat.

I paid less than five bucks for it and I can definitely recommend it at that price. Cool little self contained story experience.

Difficulty is pretty much none, you just explore and experience.

We set fire to some grass, scare the smallest mammoth, I give chase. NEW KAPALA SHARD WEAPON: AVAILABLE IN YOUR STASH AFTER COMPLETING THE MISSION IN SEARCH OF WENJA. We start to skin the mammoth, but a tiger attacks us, we are helplessly ambushed. My tribe perishes, my brother and I fall down a cliff. I am hungry, I need to hunt, I need food, I need a weapon. I lost my spear, I need to craft a bow. RETURNING TO MAIN MENU MIGHT BE REQUIRED BEFORE ACCESSING THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE REWARDS. I gather what I can until my pack is full, not knowing how to craft anything. Finally, after all that, the tutorial begins. AIM YOUR SPEAR BY HOLDING RIGHT CLICK. WHEN AIMING, PRESS LEFT CLICK TO THROW YOUR SPEAR. I haven't had my spear since the tiger attacked. It finally tells me to press I to craft a bow, after all this time, after all those rewards. I close the game. It's just too immersive for me. I might have to return to the main menu.

I don't know why I lilke this weird ass game, but I do.

No cloud saves though? Started a long drive at home and now I can't continue it elsewhere :(

Best with a powerful CPU! Playable on my i7-4790 but it chugs sometimes. Perfect on my i5-12600K.
