Sony can go ♥♥♥♥ themselves. No way am I making a bogus PSN account when I have the game perfectly playable on Steam. What a ridiculous corporate decision.

Secret word was prosper. I'm genuinely curious to see how they arrived at the conclusions they do for these words...

My secret word is 'deserving' - and that's accurate because part of me wonders what I've done to deserve 15 minutes wasted on these silly pseudo-psychological games...

(can't wait to try the 3rd one)

golly i sure do love being taken back to my teenage years and reminded that everyone is an emotionally driven, strawman loving, neurotic mess who tries to gaslight me by claiming i'm the manipulative one

♥♥♥♥ you emily
(i'm so glad i'm at the ripe old boomer age of 26)

(for real though - meh. frustrating game. captures the 2009-2011 charm of social media really well, and the nostalgia rush was real, but the characters are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the messages it sends about relationships...not great. also a lot of the dialogue is boring and feels extremely derivative of the first two games)

An absolutely phenomenal game, simply brimming with charm, humour and most importantly - amazingly crafted levels. I had such a blast throughout my 15 hours playing this game, and I honestly couldn't recommend it enough.

The way that each character's unique abilities compliment one another...the sheer variety of levels, the chase segments, the callbacks to other games...It Takes Two is perhaps the best co-op game I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

To anyone who enjoys platform/co-op games; it isn't even a question - buy this game. I had such a huge smile on my face from start to finish.

(I also had a snowball fight with my co-op partner for like a solid half an hour. Totally unnecessary, but I have zero ragrets)

Perhaps my first venture into a true JRPG - and what a first experience it was.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game from start to finish (for the most part. The true end stuff did drag on, but nothing to detract from my overall enjoyment with the game). While the odd character was either kinda boring (Yukiko) or downright annoying (Teddie) the cast was pretty strong on the whole - Kanji being best bro and Rise being best girl.

Combat reminded me of Pokemon at times, but that's not a bad thing at all. It was fun to learn about the different Personas; learning what fuses in what, learning how to have a variety, type coverage etc. Pretty standard RPG mechanics.

Music is a bop. I was introduced to Persona's OST through Smash Bros Ultimate, having only head Last Surprise. P4G didn't disappoint either; Your Affection, Heartache and I'll Face Myself being standouts.

The story on the whole was engaging, kept me on my toes and had some great twists.

Couldn't recommend more. [Time to wait for Atlus to port P5 onto Steam.
Hah just kidding, I ain't got 5 years to spare so I'm gonna go emulate it now]

Where do I begin?

(DOKI DOKI LITERATURE CLUB IS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN THIS GARBAGE, AND IT'S FREE.)

Everyone hyped this game up as something amazing - this mindblowing, self-aware VN that totally changes the way you view the medium. As someone who loves DDLC, this kind of description had me hooked.

And what did I get instead? A game that overstayed its welcome and tried way, waaaaaay too hard to be clever with its meta commentary. First part of the game (Miyuki's route) was just standard, generic dating stuff. Nothing special, nothing awful.

Aoi's route is where things picked up, and I find the idea of her being an amalgamation of every VN heroine, designed specifically to ♥♥♥♥/romance the protag, as really interesting. There was so much potential, but it ultimately fell flat. Why?

Because the second part of the game - when you're stuck with Miyuki - is where the game's issues become extremely prominent. Having to sit through for ages, just to simp enough to be able to make new choices - is not worth it whatsoever, and is just an example of awful game design. I've never seen the Skip button so much before, and it was just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring and tedious beyond all belief.

I even managed to get stuck on an infinite loop, which forced me to have to delete my data and go through the first part of the game again, just to get to the boring yandere Miyuki ♥♥♥♥♥. Who on earth designs a visual novel where this is something that could happen? It's so easy to get stuck on this loop, because you have to simp for Miyuki in order to progress, and if you simp too much - BANG, eternal loop. Absolutely awful game design.

Then there's the issue of having to simp for Miyuki. The idea of slowly building her trust is fine - but it didn't need to go on for this long. The payoff just isn't worth it. By the time you can progress the game, you then have to answer security questions, and you can't use a guide, because the answers are personalised to your playthrough. This would be fine if the game was captivating - but at this point, when you're just slogging away and relying on the skip button - who's going to pay attention?

The devs can't make their mind up as to whether you should skip or pay attention. Yes, I know that you can get the answers to the questions by clicking the Memories section, but if you click on the Memories section, it takes you out of the phone segment, meaning you have to get back to that section again (which takes forever). There are also 10 questions, and 20 memories. Yeah, you see the issue with this?

Finally - the H scenes. I'm no prude - I love anime tiddies just as much as the next man - but they were absolutely disgusting. There was nothing even remotely arousing about them. Why did there need to be this much detail about enlarged, swollen genitals? Fountains of ♥♥♥? It's just tasteless - AND THEN YOU HAVE TO COUNT THE AMOUNT OF TIMES YOU ♥♥♥ INSIDE MIYUKI IN ORDER TO PROGRESS THE GAME. ...I don't even need to say any more about this.

♥♥♥♥ this game. Play DDLC. It's leagues better in every single way. How this garbage has such positive reviews is absolutely beyond me.
