I normally don't bother playing horror games, but I took the chance with Phasmophobia and was pleasantly surprised. The game does a great job creating a scary atmosphere without use of "cheap" jump scares. At the time of this review, nothing jumps out in your face. Being able to experience frightening events with up to 3 of your friends definitely helps take off the edge in this horror game, and I can say that I've actually spent a lot of time laughing about the silliness that can occur.

I will say, having a headset with a mic is almost required to get the full experience Phasmophobia has to offer. It's definitely worthwhile, though. The character animations are pretty clunky-looking, but in my opinion, that adds to the charm this game brings.

As someone who is a big coward with anything horror; I highly recommend this game.
