This game is a swinging pendulum of extreme satisfaction and enjoyment or extreme sadness and depression and there isnt any other way id want it to be 10/10

Its fun and difficult, but mostly difficult

This game as of now has completely taken my soul and im stuck in a constant struggle of trying to get further and further. This game is one of the best games ive played and no game has gripped me like this in a while. For those who are thinking of getting this game (Which you definitely should), i shall tell you my sad tale of how i got into the mess i am into right now:

Play first game

playing Ironclad

get somewhat good cards and start seeing a good deck build

this cycle progresses up to the act 3 boss

get killed by boss who is one hit from dying

"Damn! if only i did X Y Z and picked up X Y Z cards, i wouldve won!.....

Those are the words that spiralled it all. All those LO lessons that you were taught in school has lead up to this very moment. I was a sucker and immediately got addicted. As of writing this review i have almost sunk 50 hours into the game and i see no hope of me stopping anytime soon. I am almost 50% done with this game and my addicted dumbass will not stop until i have completed it fully.

For those who has read this and is considering buying this game: do it, its fun, its challenging and its probably the most addicting game youll play. So be aware. Once you start, you will not stop.

UPDATE 30/03/2024
So, after years of the grind, torment and complete pain, I have 100% on this game. As i look back at this review, i was merely a child naive of the challenges and hardships this god forsaken game. However i have moulded many unforgettable memories that i will take to the grave during this journey, especially with my friend who was with me and played with me to the bitter end, and while im happy i can move on, its also somber that i will move on from the game that has not only give me many hours of playtime, but also forge close bonds with my friends as we struggled together. As i look at the game now it is still one of the best games i have ever played and as you can tell from how long i have owned this game you will be busy for quite a while. So buy it, enjoy it and hopefully you can get the experiences that i was able to get.

When i got into this game i didn't expect much, i just thought it'll be a normal 2D farming game

I was wrong.

This game is much more than a farming game.

there are a lot of elements in this game than just farming.

Such as having relationships with the community, quests that help your farming, slaying monsters for a guild, and character events that happen throught the game.

So overall this game is a really good game that has blown away my expectations.

Do you want to use your creativity to see how much destruction you can cause?
Do you see if you can create a life size ATAT from star wars or... literally anything else?
Well come on down and try this game out!

Edit: Its been a few years, and after coming back to it to complete all the achievements, seeing how it has developed, its a very good game with a very much alive community still, filled with amazing designers and builders. However the last achievement Portal Jumper has caused misery, since there is no server listings, which means you have to join through an IP has made the process quite tedious, especially since joining a server through steam doesnt count towards the achievement, only through IP.
Outside of that, the game is solid and i enjoyed playing and completing this game.

8/10 good game.
