The game is FANTASTIC and I can't see anything to complain about even if I wanted to. The game mechanics are just so nice and unique and allows you to fool around and think freely of your ship designs while also allowing modding which is a nice bonus but even vanilla by itself is super great, graphic is a bit catoony/pixelarty which fits in the theme quite nicely, the music is just perfect and flawless and it gives a nice magic to the game and kind of giving you an emotional lift as you play it whilst it is also charming and engaging in the same time(kind of hard to explain). I got 17 hours into the game by the time of this comment and I have to say one of my best purchases on games was this game. Give it a go and see how you will like it.

Improvement ideas from me:

- Cleared asteroid field indicator/icon should disappear if mined/cleared fully, same goes for scrapyards/junkyards.

- Pirates should be more active on the map randomly and perhaps there should be a setting for this for the intensity of how much random pirates would you encounter.

- Pirates should engage players by some logic if standing near their base for an "X" amount of time and "X" amount of distance and not just patrolling back and forth but actually gather up as if they were communicating and grouping up against you.

- Maybe something else than pirates could come in the contact with the player from time to time which is not friendly and I do not mean a faction what you are in war with but like an alien race that travels around and destroys stuff.

- Railgun could update its range and stats on the tooltip window with informations corresponding with the connected "Railgun Accelerator" to see it's actual true stats including bonuses.

First and fore most, it is worth every penny. Obviously you need a driving wheel to get started as keyboard will be totally unrealistic. I have tried the game with a G29 Logitech driving wheel with a H shift and 3 pedals. I have to say this sim(I wont call it a game) is amazing and I could get and understanding of what am I actually supposed to do in a manual car even before hopping into our car and doing anything silly. I am using "City Car Driving" to get some practical experience(I just passed my theory driving test) so I can have something to begin with when I try driving our car for practicing. Better crash and scratch a simulation car rather than my own. I totally recommend this product, I tried Beam NG but that is more of a sandbox fun purpose whilst this game is more about actually driving and not racing and crushing stuff.

The game makes you think you got this but then you feel like a little girl and cry yourself to sleep at night.
At least this is how it makes me feel quite often.
Try it yourself and see the trauma it causes(better with friends, but random multi is a bit toxic)

SCUM brought to us what DayZ never could.
Love it, everything is just awesome. There is still work to be done and some craftings could be optimised but even as it is I would highly recommend this game.

Fast phased hack and slash game at it's best. Unleash your anger and slash everything to pieces or just hunt for secret areas as you unfold the story.
