Probably the weakest Expansion currently in the game (RIP Mercury), Stasis has been balanced around the 'break out' mechanic and the game is worse off for it. The content from the expansion is some of the grindiest Destiny has ever been and is in no way even approaching fun.

It's a Papers Please style game in a more contemporary setting.

Its difficulty curve is more gradual than Papers Please and has more characters, of varying levels of memorability.

Overall, I enjoyed it.

A series whose over-abundance of lackluster entries that almost killed the franchise receives yet another title not worth your time or your money.

They looked at what was wrong with Assassin's Creed, every boring fetch quest, every time-wasting tower climbing section, every pointless collectible that adds nothing to the game and said "What if the problem is that they are too close together" and added at least 800m inbetween each and called it good.

This game takes what worked in the previous Assassin's Creed games and adds pointless bloat like: microtransactions both cosmetic and not, zone levels like WoW, added an average-at-best loot system and hunting just so they could sell "time savers" and resource packs.

Assassin's Creed is dead Ubisoft, leave it be.

Early Access Review
Feels closer to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale than a smash game,

-Not every character has grabs and a lack of blocking detracts from the experience immensely.

-They tried to make up for it with a MKX style of breaker system but it feels incredibly tacked on.

-Ultra Graphics preset has motion blur enabled by default making this look like a blurry mess.

-The damage % didn't feel like it actually did anything except kill you once you were over 110%, no really difference in the normal fighting, jabs didnt feel stronger etc.

-Only way to unlock characters is to play online. Good luck with that.

Its a fun game, the boss stages are by far the best parts of the game with the run and gun levels being just difficult enough to still be fun and a challenge. The flying stages/boss fights where you control a plane instead of the regular cuphead/mugman, can be far more frustrating due to odd feeling flying speed/controls. But as there are only something like 4-6 of these stages they aren't necessary to complete the game.

If you don't like contra-style shooting maybe give it a miss, I certainly had to struggle with them before the gameplay clicked with me. Also change the default controls if you are planning on using a gamepad with triggers like a 360/XONE controller, as they seems to be set for a gamepad that doesn't have triggers.

The game also looks very good.

9/10
