Though it may sound cliche, I enjoy Anime that is unique to me. This is usually accomplished through the use of art, characters, narrative, and so on. Nonetheless, I place a high value on presentation while remaining flexible in my approach. I want my anime to be visually appealing, audibly appealing, and emotionally engaging. I'd have to say that I'm a sucker for vibrant / bold colors, thicc line art, odd & interesting direction, and weight / energy in animation. I don't believe frame rate is the only factor to consider. In recent years, I've fallen in love with more romance, action, drama, sports, and overall down-to-earth works such as Hyouka, Oregairu, Attack On Titan, Haikyuu, and K-ON! to name a few. Shows that I find extremely emotionally valuable for a variety of reasons, the majority of which are character-driven and personal in nature, and which occasionally hit close to home. In the past, a lot of my taste was based on: spastically high energy, a silly nonsensical nature and humour, the surreal and ridiculous, and an eye for style and impact. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of things for a variety of reasons; this is just my attempt to summarize them. But, whatever it is, it has to pique my interest in a unique way. [anilist.co]
