Labyrinths is a very good and solid expansion for Hacknet, not least for the new hack tools.

If you're interested in the recently added extensions, either playing them or making your own, this is well worth picking up to get the most out of them.

There's too little game here to justify ten bucks.

May as well buy Butcher, or save your money for HiveSwap.

Bit of backstory:

I picked up Project Zomboid way back in October 2011, some time after it first became available on Desura, and there was no telling when (or even if) it would appear on Steam.

Back then, the graphics were quite a bit simpler, the map was smaller, zombies all looked the same, and dying from fire was common; I had been reading the Zombie Survival Guide right around that time, and liked the idea of PZ going in a direction that would allow you to use some knowledge gained from that book.

Looking at it now, a lot has happened in five years, and what's been added so far has me confident it will fulfill its potential, as the lovechild of the Zombie Survival Guide and The Sims*.

From the back of the ZSG, there is a list of the top ten lessons for surviving a zombie attack, and quite impressively, 8 of them apply to Project Zomboid even at this fairly early stage; cars and bikes are not in yet, meaning #7 is out, but you can definitely break staircases to keep zombies from following you up.

And although #5 (concerning the ideal protection being tight clothes and short hair) is also not currently that useful, layered clothing is, at the time of writing, being worked on, along with greater weapon variety, more realistic backpacks, bloodied characters, and further zombie variety, with more to come.

If you like relatively realistic isometric survival games and zombies, this might just be interesting to you too.

I got a free copy of the game years ago through my then-bf, and was supposed to have played with him against the developers, if I recall correctly.
They cancelled the match on us, and I never really got a chance to fully experience the game as it was intended to be played, and since then lost interest in it.

From what little I did play, I thought it could've done well, but seeing that there's virtually no community here, I can't recommend it.

At first, I thought this was a joke.
It's not - 22cans is dead serious about this.

They basically neglected working on improving Godus, in order to make a lacklustre RTS spin-off of Godus.
I didn't even feel like completing the first continent, but it turns out anything beyond it is locked behind a paywall anyway.

I've had Godus since around the same time it came out, and I'm fully expecting it to just up-and-disappear before 2016 is over.

Great game about surviving in a hostile world, as any of a number of characters with different abilities/starting equipment.
Lots of enemies, and lots of ways to die; the most important thing (as is obvious from the title) is to not starve, which isn't always easy - depending on where you start (and whether or not you tweaked world settings in your favor - not frowned upon, it's only fair) and on what resources you can gather, you might end up with more food than you can eat, or barely enough to survive your first day.

And don't even get me started on the night... let me just say that if you can survive the night, you can do anything.

~

Getting the expansions is highly recommended, as they add a lot to the game; you can't get the content from both RoG and ShWr in the same world, as the worlds are very differently constructed, but you rather get a choice of which expansion you want to use in your starting world, and can then find a way to enter the world of the other.

Reign of Giants adds more difficulty to the seasons, with heatwaves and items getting wet from rain, as well as new biomes, like the birchnut forests, where "autumn is forever".

Shipwrecked changes the world completely, allowing you to brave the oceans by way of rafts, and eventually, boats.
Gone are the evergreens and birchnut forests, and instead there are tropical islands with palms on their beaches, jungles with viney bushes and bamboo, volcanically active areas, swamps with holes belching toxic fumes, and of course, the blue wavy depths.

Trawl for fish from the comfort of your boat, harvest mussels and seaweed, capture the cowardly crabs, smite the sneaking snakes, and sail swiftly on the seven seas, as a cargo shipper or a pirate.

Update: At the time of writing, Hamlet is still in Early Access, and not fully sorted, but what it adds is very interesting and challenging.

I would not recommend this; unless you're willing to spend money on six-card boosters or you just love grinding, you're not going to have all that much fun.

And with all the connectivity/server issues, spending real money on the in-game currency is not recommended in the slightest.

Edit: Oh and yeah, it has a tendency to crash in the middle of games too.
Even if you are running on a better-than-decent PC. So there's that...

I touched ALL the things!

Seriously though, it's a nice little game with nice soundtrack, and I recommend this to everyone (especially you, Stanley).

Edit: The new update brought in even more things to touch (Stanley just won't stop playing, we had to sedate him).
