It's PEAK, what more can I say.

Scratches that itch. The movement feels really good compared to other games, just the right amount of schmoove, and the guns are really varied so theres something for everyone.

Uhuh, yes, good, like, enjoy, fun, gameplay, affirmation, praise.

Also Megpoid Gumi is part of the main theme. God tier.

Yume Nikki bits leave something to be desired but are okay and entirely skippable.

The main survivor gameplay is really well done. It's got features like a fast forward or auto-aim toggle that make me think the devs wanted to improve the formula, not to mention the danmaku / bullet hell.

Really good, gives me huge Gravity Rush (1) vibes for some reason. The free form area based exploration with weird gravity on top of the boss designs all just feels like it took a lot of the great parts of GR and condensed it down. On that note, the story is pretty good and I like the interactions between Rei and Echo throughout the game, although Rei is a little thick headed. One problem I have is that while the 3 quest givers are pretty fleshed out, lobter man being the least, even if you ignore them, the game still acts like you know what's up with them in the ending cutscene which is a tiny bit dumb but isn't a plot hole per say. Lastly the game is a little easy and the only real challenge are the bosses, on hardcore, otherwise you can breeze through the rest of the game and chill, not bad but don't go in expecting like... something difficult??

The words required to express the amount of... everything in this game simply do not exist. It's like one of those "Are games art?" kinda things except it is both, like unequivocally both a game and an artistic masterpiece. The gameplay is smooth and has very few rough edges, mostly in combat (VERY minor). It's very reminiscent of Silent Hill and the first 3 Resident Evil games.

The story is... the story is. It definitely is. It is something so amazing and so special and so perfectly in line with the themes and mood and presentation... I'm not writing more, simply experience it first hand.

Generally I'm pretty spoilers agnostic, I think they can be fun and interesting plus, usually I'm drawn into something via a certain plot detail that's peaked my interest that I otherwise wouldn't've known about had it not been for spoilers. HOWEVER, this game is different. Pretty much all I knew before playing was "It's good, like really good." I knew it had androids and it was a horror game. I didn't know how it played, the story and details, hell I barely saw any fan art (not that there isn't a lot, cause there is). It was the first time I've gone in completely blind in a long time.

If you've read this far and haven't thought something like "game sounds bad" than just buy, literally just do it, like, if it sounds even remotely interesting you WILL like it. I'm begging you it is so good, please. Please play this game. PLEASE.

Biggest downside is a somewhat meta complaint in the lack of an artbook or OST (on steam, it is available on bandcamp for a cool 7 bucks) or something for sale at time of writing. pls fix devs :)

Edit: Forgot to mention Elster is hot.

The game is VERY fun. Addicting even. There is nearly nothing even bad to say about aside from Yellow being generously cringy (he dies early so it's good (this isn't spoilers)). Machine Girl is a mega bonus. Play it, it's fun, makes the speed in you speed speed go GO speed zoomy.

One of the best twin stick shooters like EVER. Very fun, looks neat, has Shiitake... 11/10

Don't get me wrong, it ain't perfect but it is good. There are a handful of typos and sometimes the metaphors reach a lil' too far but it comes together beautifully. Even aside the theming of identity the world building is next ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level, like, actually incredible.

I think while the snug of the MF ending is off the charts, it doesn't carry as much weight as the other two endings, especially CG's which excites me, someone who very much loves space, and spurs on my imagination maybe a little too much.

Lastly the music is 8/8, pretty gr8. Something about the way it's composed and the way everything is written meshes smoothly together for peak synergy.

It's a good game, nothing super special but I did enjoy it. I'm in most stories for that atmosphere / world building but the characters did exist. I hear one of the devs or someone who was promoting the game ♥♥♥♥ on a lot of classic VNs for having ero scenes or something but like, I literally could not care less. I like the ideas put forth and it's silly to let one person's words and actions devalue that. JK Rowling on twitter kinda thing, except Harry Potter was also just bad.
