Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Borderlands is one of the best game-series ever made in my opinion. You can play it for 200 hours and there will still be something you didn't find yet.

Gameplay:
First things first - You get further in the game by doing quests BUT every quest is kinda unique and I don't feel like doing the same thing all over again. (Except you are playing the game again and again. In this case you really do the same thing over and over again... but it's still fun!)
The best thing about this game is it's great sense of humor. It doesn't take it self very seriously even though you will recognize that there is a deeper story going on under all the jokes.
At some point it feels like an MMO mixed with a FPS and the detail and humorous story of an indi game. I don't see any way how this could go wrong! :D

Combat:
I've never had such a variety of weapons in a game before and with those different kinds of guns there comes a whole new feeling to all of the fights. You can start of by picking the obvious enemys with a sniper rifle and take the rest out with a shotgun that makes everything explode around you. And I'm not even talking about the legendary weapons yet. When it comes to combat everything is up to you. There is no "whaaat you want to use this weapon? sorry but you took that class so you can't use this!". Just take something that looks nice to you and tare the world apart!

Characters:
You will meet a lot of different characters through out the game and everyone is insane in a different way. You will even get background information about some people by doing quests or finding random stuff. The Characters are one of the biggest reasons why this game is so great!

Leveldesign:
The world could look a little boring when you look at it but it really isn't. There is so much going on and things are changing as you move forward in the story. You can find secrets and eastereggs all over the place but they are sometimes really hard to find. In general the world is split in different areas which you can explore so it's not fully openworld but it doesn't feel like you are forced to go a specific way. For me it solves the problem of wanting to explore the world and every little detail in it and fully losing track while doing that. You are free to look around but you still get to where you have to go.

Looting:
I think that's one of the biggest parts of this game. You will lose count of how many cases and lockers you've looted really soon but you will find new weapons and ammo in it so you should try to loot everything you see. The ammo runs out really quick on some weapons so keep an eye out for the green light which marks a lootable object.

Lategame:
You will finish the main story kinda quick (depending on how many sidequests you are doing and how much you are into exploring) and that will be around level 25-30. But it's not even close to being over at this point. You will just unlock the next stage of the game at this point which means that you start a "new" game but you keep all your levels and stuff, just the story resets and the enemies will now be on your level again. There are some quests which you can only do if you are level 50 or even higher so it's worth the extra time you are spending. And as i said earlier, you won't be bored since the combat is so much fun and you will develop even further, getting stronger weapons and all that nice stuff. And if you are level 50 in the end and everything is done, don't you worry mate, there is still a ton of DLCs and other playable characters to try out! Borderlands 2 may be released some years ago but it's not even close to beeing dead! There is still stuff released for it and it get's better the longer you play it.

Bad Stuff:
Of course there is something bad on every game, so these are my greatest problems in BL2.

- Sometimes when you kill an enemie and it drops loot or throw out something of your inventory the items will fall through the ground and be gone for ever. I lost quite a high amount of my legendary weapons this way. So always search a save spot for something like that or use the trade option.

- There are some quests which lead you right back into an area which you've already cleared and it's a bit painful to walk that way all over again especially since you have to do that twice for every character since you will have to replay everything to get a highlevel char.

- The pizza at Claptraps party is cold. (Insider xD)

I really hope i could help you with this one and thanks for reading :)

For me Borderlands 2 is a must have and I promisse you - you won't regret it!
