Great atmosphere and interesting details, the game doesn't really explain anything to you, and you're left to adventure at your own pace. I think this kind of storytelling within games is sadly lacking, and I think the experience over all has been quite interesting.

The reason why I'm not recommending the game, is the camera is absolutely awful. The game continually tries to shift your camera moving backwards or forwards as it tries to lock you into a frame of view and it is incredibly annoying. I had to put the game down a few times because it just became aggravating. I don't really understand the combination of free exploration with a soft-locking player camera.

Broken combat, you can spend minutes kiting around an enemy ship and they'll just hit you once and you'll die.

Doesn't matter what level you are, doesn't matter what ship, doesn't matter what talents.

Not to mention extensive grinding halting story progress.

Enjoyable game and format but so utterly unforgiving and grindy that I wouldn't recommend this to any friends.

Have to go on a wiki to understand how the game works.

Or just go join a multiplayer lobby where there's players who have level 100s and just let them boost you. Which isn't even playing the game, because it sucks.

Just a typical f2p mobile game ported to PC. If you like "waiting" mechanics where it takes 10 minutes of you waiting around doing nothing to progress to the 2nd campaign level (out of like 30? I believe) then go ahead.

Or if waiting isn't your game, then just spend a bunch of money in their store and get the starter pack upgrade! No longer will you have to wait for developer imposed recharge times on your troops, troop repairs, or resource production. You can just skip ahead with the "skip time" mechanic. AKA "Power Cores".

Until of course when you reach that inevitable point where you run out of your "skip time" mechanic. But hey, you can always buy more.

Early Access Review
Never played the first one, but joined in with my brother when this one came out.

Super fun game with friends and the builds you can create once you understand the item buffs is cool.

And even when playing alone, it's a good game to play to challenge yourself. Personally I sometimes have streams up in the backgrounds, or some tutorial videos.

If the animation of the fox was better I could have probably played through the entire thing and enjoyed it, despite the story being a little too whiney.

For real, spend and extra day or two and learn about animating your main character. Considering I'm looking at it for the majority of the game, at least make it look nice.

If you're looking for an experience similar to Ori and The Blind Forest look away.

This game tries takes some of the worst aspects of Dark Souls (tedious, repetitive backtracking) but fails miserably. It has a worse travel system, its challenges are sometimes ridiculously stupid, and the rewards more than often don't justify the effort.

If you like a sometimes stressful, frustrating, and altogether un-enjoyable experience then I'd recommend this game. It really puts you through the paces and when you fail (and continue to fail) it really just slaps you in the face.

If you've already bought the game and want to explore it and experience the awesome music, just download a trainer. Usually I don't download trainers because I think they break the experiece, but this kind of experience and gameplay is not for me. If the game had a similar checkpoint system to Ori and the Blind Forest (you use mana to create your own checkpoints) I probably would have loved it.

As it stands though, I'm reminded of the Colosseum title you can attain within Hollow Knight. "The Fool", in which I'm a fool for having bought this game in the first place. I mean for the love of god, is it so difficult to implement a difficulty setting?

If you want to learn how to play the guitar you go outside, you get a guitar and you learn how to read music and then you play it. You don't buy this program. This program is not a tool and is just a game.

I had played it once at a convention and thought it was interesting so I spent some money on it. After spending £40 on the game and the cable I then went through a thoroughly patronizing introduction (even though I selected veteran guitar player) and then had to play single notes through a pretty easy song ("Everlong" by Foo Fighters).

I don't even know how long I played this ******* game (half an hour?) but I'm already tired of it and I'm going back to tablature as well as chord sheets.

F*** Rocksmith.
