What a nightmare of a new player experience. You get dropped into a dungeon completely unprepared for the most basic enemies, and run into players both massively overleveled and overequipped who can beat you down in seconds.

I understand some of these overleveled and overequipped players are just going to say "git gud" but yeah, no thanks. This wonky experience is not worth investing the time into in order to do so. Hard pass.

Incredible. I was worried the perspective switch to a third-person shooter was going to suppress the madcap, friendly fire mayhem from the first game, but nope. This game is just as insane as its predecessor, maybe even more so since you're so much more connected to the action.

Runs great, looks great, plays great. A little buggy, but my NVidia/Intel MSI setup hasn't run into anything severe or persistent. AMD users seem to be having more issues, so take that into consideration if that's your rig.

And yeah, servers are still swamped in the early evening hours, but Arrowhead is improving things constantly. Honestly, all the review bombs are just whinging. Doesn't make it a bad game.

Buggy, incomplete, monotonous, and just missing a lot of features from the decades-old games its trying to copy. Big pass.

Tried multiple times to just play the dang thing and couldn't get past the log in screen. With these infinite server queues, this thing is just a paperweight, taking up space on my hard drive. Uninstall.

Tried playing this buggy garbage on a GTX 1080 card, and though it ran fine for the first 3 hours (completely negating my ability to refund it) it now will not run for more than 5 minutes without the dreaded screen freeze bug. The bug is not fixable through any means, and both Steam and Square Enix outright refuse to do anything about it. I've even called Square customer support and gotten essentially a polite 'f*** off' response.

Do not, under any circumstance, pay these crooks money for this non-functional piece of software.

Hands down my favorite game in the AC series, even if AC2 is arguably better as a whole. Being a pirate is just far more fun than being an assassin. Who knew?

Game looks great, plays well, and fighting ships and upgrading your ship to fight bigger ships never gets old.

One caveat: The game has some crap performance. Even after upgrading to a GTX 980 Ti, I was still only getting ~40 FPS. UNTIL! I found a crazy fix that works. First, let NVIDIA control panel handle the VSync. The game's VSync is crap. Second, and it's really weird: After loading into the game, lock your computer. Then re-open the game window. This takes my perf from ~40 to ~60 every time. Don't know why. Doesn't make sense. It's some kinda weird bug, but by god it works.

I remember getting the original DD for the Xbox 360 and thinking it was okay. The combination of an Elder Scrolls-style open-world RPG with a familiar Capcom DMC-light hack-n-slash fighting system was really fun, the "share your character" pawn system was really clever, and oh man, the boss fights. Sadly, it had its host of issues that kept me from really getting into it back then.

However, the gameplay improvements brought with the Dark Arisen expansion definitely go a long way in fixing many of the annoying issues with the original. The unlimited use fast travel item in particular makes things way easier going. On top of that, the technical improvements in this port are great. The console version suffered from a pretty mediocre frame rate, which got in the way of the frantic combat sometimes. On PC, the game runs great, and feels very fluid in 60+ FPS.

Definitely recommend picking this up to any fans of open-world games. It's quirky, different, does a lot of really cool things, and most of all, it's really dang fun.

Man, this game is a classic, and so far this port is top notch. Buttery smooth frame rate, crisper textures, and even a QHD resolution display option. They even include the RE5-style control options for using an Xbox controller. If you haven't played RE4, or are just looking to relive the campy, creepy, hilarious awesomeness, this is definitely worth a purchase.

While the match propagation can be shaky, and it can crash, it isn't nearly as bad (at least as of recently) as a lot of these reviews would make you think. It's pretty easy to just load up the game if it crashes, and re-trying to host a game a couple of times, or just switching hosts usually results in having a working game show up for everyone.

That said, this is most definitely a game you should bring friends for. With a group, especially of people you know well, this game is an absolute blast. The deceit and trickery involved makes for a very fun twist on standard PvP shooter play, and even for the simplicity of the execution (4 classes, 1 level), the premise itself is novel enough to provide a lot of entertainment.

So don't be put off by all the negative reviews here. For a small game put together by a small group of enthusiasts and delivered for free, the bugs are excusable, and not experience-breaking. And no, if you jump on by yourself, you probably won't have the best time, but bring friends and you'll have a blast.

The Pre-Sequel is everything you love from Borderlands 2 and then some. The low grav brings a ton of freedom and verticality to movement, letting you soar over (or away from, snipers) your enemies, and come crashing down on them with a destructive butt slam. It's great. Doesn't get old. The cryo weapons are something I've wanted since Borderlands 1, and fun as heck to slow, freeze, and smash fools with. One of the new laser weapon types is the proton beam from Ghostbusters. It's sick, and does insane damage.
