Absolute masterpiece and super fun, even though it's in beta and has a few issues here and there.

The mechanics are simple, yet the skill ceiling seems very high. The simple mechanics lend it to have practically no "glitch goals" unlike EA's game. It also satisfies like no other game I've played due to the higher skill ceiling, goals feel great to score and setting up plays also do as well.

Only two things I've noticed, one which could be a bug (or maybe not) and another a missing feature that would be nice to have. First, I've made what I thought were a few goal line saves before but they counted as goals. It seems that the puck landing on the goal line counts as a goal, unlike in actual hockey where the puck needs to fully cross the goal line (then again, without replays its difficult for me to say whether the puck actually crossed the line or not). That leads me to the feature that's missing, game replays. It would be awesome if you could watch a replay of the game you just played after its over, and/or have a recap of the highlights from the game you just played.

Overall though, this game is destined to stardom on its current path. It's an absolute gem already.

I played it for free and for the first time today, and must say I wasn't impressed. Too many spawn campers and why jetpacks? That was really the most stupid and ignorant thing Jagex could have done. The building doesn't matter and it just isn't fun, it plays like an extremely generic FPS. It runs ok (I do have a decent PC though), but that doesn't mean anything. I would say play for free and give it a try, and if you REALLY think it's great (you shouldn't) than maybe buy it. But right now, I just won't and probably will never recommend it.

This game is absolutely fantastic. In my opinion it is the best FPS game around. It has matured extremely well since it was released and is a very solid game. It has great mechanics. It has excellent game types and is very addicting. I highly recommend it.
