Received this from a friend (I... think) to play with our group as part of "any new (for us) good game can we play together?"
The DLCs, between 2 to 4 was a gift from someone else, and the majority of, i bought for myself.

Silly, cute, threatening and challenging...
This game encouraged me to give value to board games. It's not the first one, but playing for some time i realized how fun is.
Despite your commands are dictated by a dice, cards and your unit effects are the differentials as to think how to approach around the scenario to achieve your objective.
There is several content involved in a single match it will be always different. Movement, the panel you step on, cards, your and their units...
Sometimes you will win by either luck, or skill. It's not always guaranteed, what you choose, and what comes, it just changes the odds of the X outcome.
There's 3 game modes: normal (free for all), COOP (4 against a boss, with 5 Roles) and bounty hunt (RPG-based (get quests, items, buffs, fame, repeat, win)
This game is also a crossover between other 5 titles/universes that belongs to the same developer. It's interesting to see each one with their own character being preserved, from appearance to personality. They're even voiced, have their own music theme... I checked the original games. For their genre (bullet hell), they're good games.
While the art is, childish in a way, just like the original games, it's just how it is, accordingly with the concept/background of the game's lore, characters, which reflects the target public of this game. Pretty much what you see in regular anime.

While the DLCs are needed if you want more randomness, versatility and positive repeatability, it gives you a rewarding experience, being on gameplay or cosmetic stuff. New characters, or just voices for others, some have single player stories with also cosmetics)...
Also the game has workshop, which brings you... mods. the gameplay mechanics is preserved, but what is appearance... it dramatically changes. From big Poppo to a meme army made up of Sephiroth, Obama, Neptune and Doom Slayer in a COOP match against Flandre Scarlet in a song of Last Surprise from Persona 5... Yes, you can.

In conclusion: a party game, for some, it's enjoyable even with random people (like me), or with friends mostly/only. Until today, is still being under development. You need some distraction, occupy your mind with something else, or laugh at big whirl of events, or just chill: this game can provide you with.

Misanthropic people will love this game.

Many varieties of pathogenic agents and scenarios will ask for different strategies and can prove be challenging given the difficulty. Gameplay is friendly (easy to understand) and has multiplayer: to duel or co-op with someone.
You also have custom scenarios to enjoy yourself with... M E M E S...From being the cure instead of a plague...To omnipotence.

If you really liked the game and got close friends...Look out for the board game, a new expansion has come and you can support the project, the devs, and to enjoy yourselves with a new format of entertainment.
