May 29th 2016: On this day, a Steam account was created for the sole purpose of playing one game, and that one game was Team Fortress 2, and the owner of the now 8 year old steam account is me.
Team Fortress 2 has been part of my life ever since that day, watching YouTube videos and laughing at the memes, it's kind of a shame that I eventually became too anxious to hop into more casual servers before the bot crisis to do so, and I'm really sad that the game that would introduce me to the world of Steam would end up dying to an irony fitting for one of its PvE gamemode and lore: A malicious group that creates Robots for the purpose to take over the badlands. However, the groups hosting these bots are even worse since they spam disgusting slurs in the chat, promote "Bot Immunity" scams, take the advantage of the desperate to dox them, even do some heavily Illegal stuff like sending DDOS Attacks and SWAT Teams people calling them out, they even tried a fake DMCA to this community's petition site in an effort to stop us all. As I write this, I think about moments of fun I had with this game, like how I telefragged a spy in the 2fort stairs where my team's engineer for some reason placed the teleporter entrance and exit at the top and bottom respectively or the yearly Scream Fortress events (I only played 2017, but still), I'm now hit with the fact that I'll never be able to have this kind of fun anymore, and I think about the people who may find this timeless masterpiece of a game who won't be able to get the chance to enjoy this game. I, like many others, am not asking for new updates, no new content is being requested, WE, the TF2 Community, are begging for an actually functioning Anti Cheat that is constantly Maintained and eradicates most of, if not, all of the bots from the game. Please Valve, we as a community beg you to FixTF2, Do it for us and for the people who may pick up this game further on...
