The world of assassination has changed a bit over the years, but the same core flow of play that keeps me coming back for more remains and has overall only been polished to a bright sheen.

With the addition of freelancer, I think Hitman 3, and really the franchise itself has peaked in a way no one really expected. While some surely prefer the learnable missions where experimentation is possible and the planned targets are predictable, to those of us who have spent far too much time in that category (while loving every minute of it) freelancer is a massive breath of fresh air.

Play this game if you enjoy stealth games. It's a staple, and you'll love it.

Run and gun players, you'll survive more than likely, but you'll walk away from the game not really understanding the appeal.

Above all else, have fun.

Early Access Review
Dyson Sphere Program is one of those games that comes along and strikes an itch that you didn't really expect to be struck. It's a game about progressing steadily toward goals that are ever increasing in scope. And that scope eventually leads to a literal galactic scale.

One part Satisfactory/Factorio, one part all it's own, the game makes you proud in all your accomplishments. It starts with making simple production chains that make items so you no longer have to craft them yourself, and ends with you trying to optimize those production chains to their reach hyper efficiency on a galactic scale.

If you love logistic puzzles, and can appreciate well crafted unique gameplay experiences, this game is right up your ally. I loved every minute of it, and find myself coming back constantly.

Natural Selection 2 is one of those multiplayer games that has a long history, with a lot of great memories for me behind it. Like most games of this type, you'll have friendly players, you'll have salty players, and then there's the toxic players. But all in all the experience has been very positive. Go into it with a microphone and a positive attitude and you'll be met with an overall positive vibe for most games, with maybe one or two detractors.

The game itself is fantastic, a mixture between FPS and RTS that works extremely well, and is still very unique even after all these years. Marines vs. Aliens, both having a commander who perceives the field of battle from a classic top down perspective, while the other players on each team view the field from a FPS perspective and act as the teams battle units. Those units help to build, destroy, and fight for their own teams. This is just a rough setting of what the game looks like, the magic is all of the tactical team-work oriented magic that occurs because of that setting. That is hard to review, but all I can say is that when things are gelling the way they should in a team-based multiplayer game, it is truly an amazingly fun time.

I really wish more people would jump on this game, it's been a gem since it initially came out, and is truly a lot of fun. Some reviewers will tell you that the more experienced players are all salty and cynical, not willing to help new players. You will certainly find some who are like that, but we really shouldn't be brushing the entire community with that brush, as it's simply not true.

Bastion is a linear story telling action game done right. It's not long, but for what you get it is well worth the price. Of course, because of it's linear-ness you'll not find too much replayability. But that's not what this game is trying to get you to do. It aims to give you a fantastic experience the first go around.

Highly recommend.

Subnautica is an amazing experience. When you crash onto the surface of an alien planet you have enough supplies in your escape pod to last you a day or two. The fabricator onboard will "print" out items, based on the recipes shown in said fabricator as long as you have the resources in your inventory. These items include food, drink, and various tools and building materials.
This game is all about discovery and exploration. It does this very well, and looks fantastic all the while. Even the food and drink requirement for surviving is done exceptionally well, and very nicely spaced out.

I definately recommend this game to those who don't want their hands held throughout an entire game, where your inquisitive mind is rewarded.

Update: The game has constantly been updated since my first review, and has only gotten more optimized and better streamlined. The experience has only been enhanced. If you enjoy survival games, you would be remiss in missing this excellent game!

There are few games of this type these days. An old school JRPG with mature themes and a mostly mature cast, with a great turn based battle system, music, and art style that can't be beat if you enjoyed such games in the past.

For those that do, I definately recommend this game. Nostalgic yet fresh at the same time.
Have fun with it!
