honestly. its a great game. amazing visuals perfect combat. stupidly difficult bosses. blocking is now usefull and good if you learn what can and cant be blocked aswell as not holding block for too long to let your stamina regen. and most boss fights have a fun mix of blockable and non blockable attacks that require good dodge timing and as some one at the time of posting this review is in the top 10% of all players story wise.. (context is that like... the last 5 story achievements are still at only 6.5-8% total playerbase has these achievements this only accounts for steam BUT i imagine its similar on console)

if your struggling with bosses just take a few runs to study their attack patterns and what attacks can and cant be blocked and what can and cant be dodged aswell as how long the boss's attack animations take to que up as those are your attack windows.

i just played the game for 11 hours straight... and i dont think im going to stop any time soon. my god this game has no right to be this good with how many issues it had in development compared to a game like battlefield 2042... tripple a studio vs techland... and techland has blown this game out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ water in every way conceivable. absolutely perfect so far.. little to no bugs (in my gameplay so far) (lovely stealth mechanics awesome movement (only complaint is that the movement at times feels a bit.. delayed and overly floaty in a semi stiff way like i keep going in one direction a split second longer than i should and in a game based around movement it is noticeable at times)
i will say the thing that makes me the happiest about Dying light 2. is the optimization.. this is a game that looks a trillion times better than battlefield 2042.. and it runs so much better on ultra graphics i can run DL2 at 60 frames solid no raytracing on 2042 i struggle to run the game at medium with 30 fps... im using a RTX 2070 max-q 16 GB of ram and a intel i7 8th gen.. i shouldnt have ANY issues with 2042 like i am. where as dying light 2 is buttery smooth 60 fps and looking fantastic

aparently this is free on the web version now... i really feel ripped off now what the ♥♥♥♥ guys

all i need to say is..... WORT!!

my two complaints are very simple... make the minion abilities autonomous because when your trying to manage fighting off 2-3 other enemies cycling your weapons or juggling your sticky bombs you cant focus on using each ability of the minions/soldiers that follow you. or make an option to enable autonomus ability usage by the soldiers

secondly you guys need to work on optimization im running a intel i7 8th gen with a RTX 2070-max q and i was having moments were the game would freeze for a frame or two just randomly causing me to spin out of control and lose my sense of direction or even lose a fight because of it otherwise the game felt alright

sadly i cant seem to listen to these... they just will not download no matter what i do. i cannot get the songs to download at all

i love the game but the DLC is a little too expensive and the DLC is what makes the game Good so if you cant afford at the minimum the Megacorp and the Apocolipse DLC dont bother buying Stellaris they just add too much to the game that honestly should be in the game by default but otherwise Stellaris is an amaizing game worth every penny spent and is one of my favorite games in my entire steam library of 563 games (including games game shared through my alt accounts)

federations just came out and again there is more content that should be in the base game without federations the origins system feels gutted. you only get 3 origins with the base game and all three feel... awkward to choose from BUT spend another 20-30USD and you can make the origins system feel perfect as if all the possibilities were there infront of you.. honestly again with the super expensive DLC that withold items that honestly NEED to be in the base game or at the very least give us more options to get the content.. honestly i would pay 5-10 just to get more origins in my game because the origin system adds a whole new depth to your runs that shouldnt be squandered by paid DLC that inhibits that depth

so far 5 hours have gone by... holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥... this game got me soo hooked that i lost 4 hours without realising it it was like 8 ish pm when i got this game and its already like 1am QwQ i need to go sleep wtf..

EDIT: june 3rd) well now im still pretty hooked and i have to say this game is a real breath of fresh air from dead by daylight's slow paced gameplay. its fast and alot of fun and there feels like there is no end to how much i could play this so far.

Edit: 12/14/2019 to be honest... im really depressed to see this game die.... and it is not even a lack of community thats killing the game... its the devs giving up.... this is just a shame.. this is nearly as bad as EVOLVE... exept this game had promise it was still growing and people loved it....

really good game had alot of fun playing it and it still holds up as a unique experience you wont find easily anywere else

im not sure why people are review bombing a good game like metro last light... yeah deep silver did an oopsie by going to epic but don't mislead people with your fake reviews just because you don't like their decision.. last light is an amaizing game that only improved on the original metro 2033 and is a must have for any first person survivalist fan.
