If you liked SupCom 1, this is absolutely nothing like it and you should probably avoid it entirely. Campaign mode (which is as much as I ever want to play of it) is very anime. The scope of the game has been scaled down considerably, which is a feat considering it's based almost entirely around building giant hulking end-game units. To its benefit, everything is vastly streamlined when compared to its predecessor, and the economy system makes more sense to a newcomer. Everything else, though, is basically reinventing the wheel when they already had a pretty decent one to work with.

This is a cool game and I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of it until I stopped playing it for no discernable reason. There's not much to compare it to, maybe a bit like Continuum/Subspace if we want to reach all the way back to like 2002. It's simple but with a deceptive amount of depth. The controls take a bit getting used to, though.

Pretty good game. Snagged it for south of $8 and the single player campaign is worth that much on writing strength and presentation alone. The gunplay is same-y, remniscent of other waist-high-wall shooters like Gears or Mass Effect, except the cover system is more clunky and when snapping to a wall you'll often find yourself standing upright in enemy fire for no reason. You can get by with guns other than the M4 once you realize that executing enemies gives you ammo sometimes, but the path of least resistance is using the gun everyone else drops because nothing holds very much ammo in reserve. Has some interestingly dynamic choice sections, though they ultimately make zero difference either way. Makes good use of music. Solid, memorable, better than most. Grab it on sale and you won't regret it.

The original bad game, it is decidedly the least bad of them.

If all you've played is Assassin's Creed the former, and you're on the fence about whether or not you want more of the same, let me say this: Assassin's Creed II is not only leaps and bounds better than the first, it is also the best game of the series on the whole. They took the original concept and polished it to a mirror finish. This game is utterly fantastic.

If you enjoyed the first game at all, you owe it to yourself to play this one. Even if there were some things about the first that put you off, this one is so drastically improved that I can recommend it with confidence.

It is what it sounds like. If you have the ability and attention span to master the tools presented you can pull of some crazy awesome stuff. Otherwise you'll probably just load up a preset scenario, set the earth's mass to a bunch of 9's and laugh as the solar system collapses inward and ejects the sum of its parts into the infinite beyond. Then you'll quit and forget you own it.

Definitely worth buying if you are in any way, shape, or form interested in the physics side of this stuff. If all you want is a model of the universe and the ability to explore it, I'd go for Celestia, which is free.

I bought this since I had gotten tons of playtime out of it originally but lost my disc. Unfortunately, the game STILL uses punkbuster and I can only imagine all future iterations of it will, as well.

Fun little tidbit: If you don't disable the steam overlay before trying to play this, you will most likely be instantly booted from every server you attempt to join because of Punkbuster.

Getting around that, this is still just as fun and frustrating as I remember. Well worth it.

Enjoy grinding for gear in any MMO ever made? Well, Dungeon Defenders is for you. In bite-sized pieces of playtime as short as 8 uninterrupted hours, you too can have awesome gear.

In all honesty, it's gotten better with the latest DLC. Nightmare stages can be completed in 10 minutes and yield untold millions. Doesn't change the fact that this is basically a Casual MMO.

If tower defense is your deal, it's worth it for sure. I've gotten hundreds of hours out of this.

Cute, Simple, but incredibly shallow. It's a turn-based strategy game entirely centered around territory control - the fastest way to eliminate your foes is simply to destroy the land beneath them, which is a feat made incredibly easy by the cheapest building - the resource harvester.

Catch it on sale or avoid it entirely.

It's essentially FPS Diablo. It's flawed, but fun. The enemy variation is thin at best, the entirely random drop system is retarded, the music and environments are incredibly bland. The dialogue/writing might as well not even be there for as much as anyone cares about it.

If you don't have 2-3 other people to play this with, don't bother.
