The life of a detective isn't easy! You are a former police detective laid off by Starch Kola. So there is nothing left to do than freelance. You can customize your character and unlock skills called "sync"discs, which can also be upgraded. You take on cases from various notice boards that are found inside City Hall and around the City in this procedurally generated city. For example; a wife suspects her husband of cheating, so she hires you to find the evidence. It could be a picture, an email or even a gift sent by the cheater. You can try to put a tracker on the cheater or just follow him to find out who he is cheating with. By piecing together the evidence, you can solve the crime and get paid. How you gather your clues is totally up to you.

This city feels alive, with hundreds of NPC's and every NPC has it's own fingerprints, appearance, life, work and hobbies. There is a lot going on in this city. The huge level of detail and absolute freedom in this open world game is remarkable and a lot of fun to explore.

However, a serial killer is on the loose in this ever changing city and if you don't help solve the case, they might strike again. First you need to go to the City Hall to pick up a case form. In order to solve a case, you must be able to fill in the evidence you collected before you arrest the perpetrator. You need to name the killer, know their address, what the murder weapon is and how they are connected to the crime scene. In order to do an arrest, you need to buy a pair of handcuffs from City Hall. There you can find tons of other tools, like a camera or even a hacking device. After collecting the case form, you have to visit the Crime Scene to collect some solid evidence like footprints, fingerprints, phone records, letters, emails, CCTV and personal records. Fingerprints and footprints can be collected with your scanner. Visit the victim's workplace to collect more evidence.The murderer could be a "ritual" murder, a jealous coworker, a stalker or just a random psychopath.

You can play a good detective and do everything according to the book, look for the suspect by collecting evidence, confronting the suspect and even arrest them. Or if you feel like it, be mischievous and break into places, bribe people, sneak into offices, steal files, items and weapons, crawl through vents when you are trying to make your escape. But most importantly, connect the dots.

The game is in early access, so it can be expected to have some bugs. But these are things that can always be patched later on.
