When I first played this game, I experienced a heavy-handed and sudden skill issue. After coming back to this game, having played Elden Ring, 3, and 2, I can safely say that this game is good, plain and simple. Strong points include the large, interconnected map, a variety of both enemies and methods to deal with them, and some very fun bosses. ("Err, guys? Why is Old Dragonslayer standing next to this obese guy?")

If Vanripper releases another game I'm going to have a heart attack. Hard mode was fun.

Pulled an all-nighter during finals week to play the entirety of new game 1. Worth.

Some of the best first-person melee combat I've seen in a long time. The feeling of cleaving through dozens of enemies, swinging a big sword, a stave, or a mace, it all feels so bloody good. Bash, kick, slash, and thrust your way through enemies, dismember the ♥♥♥♥ out of them, fight the headless remains, then go onto the next room to do it all over again. There's ofc some jank, but the dev is actively making this game better and I'm along for the ride.

Of the couple of Souls games I've played, this one was the one that clicked. Playing it has been honestly great, playing it with my friends has been even better. 10/10, I'd like to get amnesia to replay it blind again.

My friend won the game three times, twice by using a reality-altering ladder and once by running into a table. 10/10 great game

I literally cannot get enough of this game.
