Lets wage a war with a nerf gun

In its current form its a hellish experience, so hellish you can't even experience it.
Animalia suffers from poor server optimization, meaning if you want to run be prepared to run... in place, you want to stop you'll stop but not where you think you'd end up, wanna jump have a 3 second delay...etc.
Server browser won't let you search via ping, most populated servers operate via satellite internet it seems, and to top it all off the devs claim to be putting out "fixes" but this issue not only persists but gets worse with each patch.
Cannot recommend until server optimization is resolved.

No point in playing as a carnivore.

This game has an abundance or red flags...
1.) "The Guy"
The mind behind this game has only produced one notable game...and it was DayZ.
2.) "The hype"
There is alot of bs out there about how "Original" this game is, when all it is is a combination of various survival game mechanics nothing here is remotely original save for maybe the choice of environment for an O2 function.
3.) "The alien"
Or lack of them, The world isn't remotely alien (yet)...but you're gonna have to pay 70$ if you want a shot at even seeing it.
4.) "The Teaser"
It had models from ARK in it...nuf said.

Not saying the game is bad just thought these points should be made, I'm of the impression this game is just an asset flip with the sci-fi element tacked on with instance based mechanics to ride the current survival game meta.

Its ambitious. But the world's tallest building wouldn't have anyone set foot in it with such a shaky foundation. And I hope the devs prove me wrong but as of late, I have some steep doubts.

The game play loop is very noticeable.
It boils down to if you want to advance you have to craft the armor/weapons/tools that you've already crafted multiple times before you can move on and you have to use those items to learn how to use the things you can craft.
but what do you do once you've learned how to craft and use these items...
you do it all over again.
I wouldn't and don't usually mind the grind, but when the grind itself is nothing but boring, repetitive, and unengaging, it becomes a chore to play.

Pros.
A working chat.
Cons.
Anything other than that, that has to do with Dondi and his ilk.

Mile wide and an inch deep... I honestly cannot fault anyone for putting this as their review of the game, however from the perspective of someone who has plays 'space engineers', 'No mans sky', and a little bit of 'star citizen' I can say that this game would fall in line right behind 'Space engineers' in terms of content there is more to do and alot to see, the second you get your first decently sized ship the game or simulator rather opens up to you.

My advice when starting out is to join a player group and work with friends on wing missions in private groups untill you feel savy enough to take on the hostile player environment that is open play.

I had gotten this on sale and thought it would be a swell alternative to getting the 2012 version of movie maker, for making and editing gameplay footage...I was horribly mistaken.
At first it seemed to do ok but this software will not maintain your gameplay's quality and renders often times outside of the original footage, with lower framerates causing finished videos to apear choppy and laggy, the resampling is on by default and is fairly conviluted to turn off, ultimately it seems as though they put this software on steam thinking people would use it for things other than gameplay footage...you know its bad when windows movie maker maintains higher fidelity when editing videos than your PAID editing software.

Good in terms of what makes a game rewarding, at least feeling wise but after some time, and seeing it through to full release all I can genuinely say about this game is that it insults the playerbase and doesn't respect a player's time.

You can spend hours playing this game and have nothing to show for it, it lacks any sense of a progression system which it seemed poised to have when you could earn cosmetics via crates that where at one point FREE to open.
The game is dizzying once every so often when you actually interact with a player in a benificial way to you.
The game feels like getting the wrong end of RNGesus' 'joystick' up your butt most games.
If you believe in having a stable connection for fair gameplay and think you should be playing with people in your region you are appearently a xenophobe acording to playerunkown himself.
And lastly the vast majority of this games playerbase are chinese, this inherently is a nonissue until you find out that 99% of cheaters in this game are in fact chinese.

In short the only good thing I can recall about this game is that I won once by killing the only other person I saw the entire 30+ minute match...that was a fun 30 seconds out of the entire rest of my time playing this.

Well...20 nitain for Vauban prime...had the set since he came out, and am still farming.
