This game is nothing short of a beautiful and heartwarming experience. From start to finish, Spiritfarer delivers on every front. Not once does the game slow down, get boring or repetitive, or lose that charm of when the first Spirit arrived on your ship.
Each Spirit has such an amazing and well crafted personality that you can't help but wonder what the next Spirit will bring to you and your passengers. But the experience is not just contained to your ship; the open world presented in Spiritfarer is nothing short of breathtaking. From astounding Islands scattered across the map, to random debris from a shipwreck, the adventure on the open sea never seems to end.
Throughout the game, your ship can be upgraded with multiple useful upgrades, such as accessing new areas on the map, or just simply making your ship traverse faster from point A to point B. But don't worry; you as the player can also receive multiple abilities that will spice up traversal across islands and your ship!
The world in Spiritfarer is split into multiple areas, with each having its own unique art style so you will never be scratching your head wondering where on the map you are currently located. With this of course comes a fast travel system that is available at your closest bus stop, which is always usable and completely free of charge!
As for the resource collection, Spiritfarer never makes you feel like an item is unobtainable. The game offers a variety of ways with which you can make resources way easier to collect.
All in all, Spiritfarer is one of the best games made in recent years, and it absolutely deserves all the praise it has so far received.
